Picnic with the Library, the Nashville Public Library Foundation’s family event, raises critical funds to support life-changing children’s early literacy programming, like Nashville Public Library’s Wishing Chair Productions, story times, Puppet Trucks, mentorship programs, and early literacy initiatives reaching more than 100,000 children and their families.

On Sunday, April 28th, the library will gather once again for the 9th annual Picnic with the Library! This year, the Main Library Lobby will be transformed into The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, so get ready to “follow the yellow brick road” downtown. The event will offer an afternoon of family-friendly fun including story time from Wishing Chair Productions, food, face painting, music, crafts, visits from favorite children’s book characters, and more.
