Downtown Living Initiative A report released in August 2003, on current and potential housing in downtown Nashville

The Downtown Living Initiative (DLI) outlines steps to support and further stimulate the downtown housing market, and in doing so, to attract more residents to Nashville’s urban core. In order to achieve this, it is necessary to expand the number and variety of housing options in the central city, create clusters of housing and neighborhood-scaled services, and emphasize downtown’s location and amenities: easy access to work, recreation, cultural events, museums, retail, and restaurant choices.
