A Message from Tom Turner

Already in 2008, the Nashville Downtown Partnership has implemented the expanded downtown Central Business Improvement District (new 10-year term 2008 through 2017) with additional clean and safe personnel and services.

We also welcomed new Retail Recruiter Crissy Cassetty to our staff in January. She will focus on implementing the comprehensive retail strategy developed by Washington, D.C.-based Economics Research Associates for downtown Nashville.

Ronny L. Greer (Managing Director of Work & Greer, PC) is the 2008 chairman of the Partnership Board. We welcomed twelve new Board members at our January meeting, and look forward to working with the Board this year "to make downtown Nashville the compelling urban center in the Southeast in which to LIVE, WORK, PLAY and INVEST."

To communicate with downtown stakeholders more effectively, we are changing the format of Downtown Developments. Beginning in late February, we will produce this quarterly newsletter as a print piece directed to local decision makers. Issues of Developments will also be posted on our website. Make sure we have your current mailing address (see below) and let us know what you think of the new communication piece.

We want you to be involved in the development activity in downtown Nashville. Contact us today for more information about specific initiatives or committees.

President and CEO
