New sweet shop and restaurant: Diana's Sweet Shoppe! Diana's Sweet Shoppe. 318 Broadway. 242-5377. This great new addition to Lower Broadway features candy, local ice cream by Pied Piper Creamery, and a full service restaurant. Hours are Mon - Sun, 10:30 am - 8 pm.

An experience for the entire family about what it means to be canine and courageous. More than a simple story about good versus bad, the family bands together to overcome every hurdle and hardship during difficult times.
Now through Sun, Feb 7. Nashville Children's Theatre. 25 Middleton Street. 254-9103. Show dates and times vary. $12 - $17. Anne Frank's The Diary of a Young Girl has moved and inspired the world. This powerful play dramatizing Anne's years in hiding is a classic of the American stage. Yes, it is history, and great literature, too ... but it is also the haunting, human story of an articulate, precocious young lady, coming of age in a world gone mad. "In spite of everything," wrote Anne, "I still believe that people are good at heart." May we live up to her faith in us. For ages 9 and up.
Jammin' at Hippie Jack's TV Taping Fri, Jan 22. Tennessee State Museum. 505 Deaderick Street. 741-2692. 6 pm doors open, performance from 6:30 - 9 pm. Free. A musical showcase for the television taping of the PBS series, Jammin' at Hippie Jack's. Featuring Will Kimbrough and Tommy Womack. Attendees will be able to view the current exhibition, Renaissance Jack: The Work of Jack Stoddart - Hippies, Hill People & Other Southern Marvels, in the State Museum's Changing Gallery.

A relaxed, social, and blind wine tasting with a twist. The twist is that some attendees will take home a lot of wine. Whether you are a wine connoisseur or drink wine from a box, grab some friends and come out for a guaranteed good time. The designated wine for this event is Organic Red Wine.
