Featuring over 150 extraordinary antique and horticultural dealers, magnificent gardens and world-renowned lecturers. The Young Collectors Soiree is Thursday night from 6 pm - 8 pm featuring special guest, Veranda editor-at-large, Carolyn Englefield. Tickets to the soiree are $45.

A New Dialogue in Civil Rights Sat, Feb 13. Main Library. 615 Church Street. 862-5800. 1 - 3 pm. Free. Marking 50 years since the Nashville student-led demonstrations and sit-ins, the library hosts a community forum to address the progression and evolution of civil rights. Discussion will be led by NPR's Juan Williams. The forum will foster dialogue to address the future of civil rights for the millennium generation. Reception in the Courtyard Gallery immediately following the program. Additionally, a new exhibit in the library's Courtyard Gallery is now open: "Visions & Voices: The Civil Rights Movement in Nashville & Tennessee" in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Nashville Sit-in Movement. On display through May 22.
Valentine's Weekend Dining Fri, Feb 12 - Sun, Feb 14. Restaurants throughout downtown are offering special Valentine's Day menus. Ranging from casual to deluxe the options are endless downtown! Some options include the following: Past Perfect in SoBro ($25 for a romantic spaghetti dinner for two, including a bottle of wine), the Capitol Grille at the Hermitage Hotel (four-course fixed menu, $65 per person), Merchants Restaurant on Broadway (three-course meal, $49 per person), Watermark in The Gulch (three-course fixed menu, $65 per person), Sole Mio in SoBro (three-course fixed menu, $49 per person and a special a la carte menu), wine-centric Flyte (four-course fixed menu, $65 per person), and Commerce Street Grille in the Renaissance Hotel (three-course fixed menu, $35 per person). Or celebrate with Sunday brunch at the Copper Kettle. Some restaurants are offering these specials Friday through Sunday, while others are only one or two-day specials. When making reservations, be sure to note the special menu you are requesting. Book your dinner reservation soon!
