Jammin' at Hippie Jack's TV Taping Thurs, Feb 19. Tennessee State Museum. 505 Deaderick. 741-2692. 6 - 9 pm. Free. A television taping for the public television series, Jammin' at Hippie Jack's featuring a musical showcase. This series is filmed and produced by noted Cumberland Plateau photographer Jack Stoddart. Enjoy refreshments and exhibits, including Pleasant Journeys and Good Eats along the Way: A Retrospective Exhibition of Paintings by John Baeder.

Spin-a-thon for Childhood Cancer Research at FIT Nashville Sat, Feb 21. FIT Nashville. 125 12th Avenue South. 712-7340. 8 am - noon. Indoor cyclers ride in teams of four. Each team member spins (cycles) for one hour and competes to raise the most money for childhood cancer research. Teams raise money by getting sponsors and making pledges.
