New Café - Cornerstone Café at the Downtown YMCA Cornerstone Café. 1000 Church Street. 254-0631. New amenity in the recently renovated Downtown YMCA. Hot and cold breakfast items, salads and made to order sandwiches for lunch and family size meals to go for dinner. Smoothies served all day. Hours are Mon - Sat, 7 am - 7 pm.
The newest edition of The Guidebook, our downtown retail, restaurant and amenity resource book is available. If your downtown business would like 40 or more books delivered to your location, please let us know. The current edition is available now at most downtown hotels, Dunn Bros. Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse at Nashville Children's Theatre Through April 9. Nashville Children's Theatre. Show times vary. $12 - $17. Based on the book, this production stars Lilly, a spirited mouse who knows what she likes. She likes her teacher, Mr. Slinger, until he takes away her favorite purple plastic purse.
Thurs, Mar 12. Copper Kettle. 94 Peabody Street. 742-5455. 6 pm. Free. The first of a new regular event at Copper Kettle! Amanda Williams, Jason Salzer, Melissa Montgomery, Nathan Meckle, and Buck Johnson will perform. Another Writers' Night is scheduled for Thursday, March 19.
Celebrate the Flavors and Wines of Italy Thurs, Mar 12. Prime 108 at the Union Station Hotel. 1001 Broadway. 726-1001. 6 pm. $50. During this five course meal, Executive Chef Tom Cook will present the pairings of food and wine and provide tips for preparing meals with selected wines at home. This is the first in a series of monthly wine dinners at Prime 108. The dinner on March 12 explores the flavors and wine of Italy.
