Events this Week

 

Great American Cleanup

Thurs, May 14. Bicentennial Mall. Free. 8 am - 4 pm. Nashville is one of three national spotlight host cities for the 2009 Great American Cleanup, the nation's largest volunteer coordinated cleanup. Sign-in and registration at 8 am and clean-up assignment. "Green Starts Here" exhibits around the park start at 10 am. Gather for national celebration, entertainment and lunch at 11 am. From 1 - 4 pm clean-up and beautification projects continue. Volunteers are still needed. Fill out the registration form online, here.

 

CityLiving Downtown Loft Tour
Thurs, May 14. Village Real Estate Downtown Office. 301 Church Street. 279-7299. Noon - 1 pm. Free. Join The CityLiving Team for a lunchtime walking tour featuring The Lofts at Noel Court on 3rd Avenue North and resale lofts at Church Street Lofts. The tour will last approximately one hour. Corsair Distillery Tasting Mixer
Thurs, May 14. Home of Won & Kyong Choi. 226 3rd Avenue North. 598-1103. 5:30 pm.  Spring Mixer featuring drinks by Corsair Distillery, a new micro distillery making award-winning gin, absinthe, rum, and whiskey. Event is free, but donations are welcome. Proceeds will benefit Nashville Debate, a program designed to benefit Metro Public Schools by providing training, technical support and competitive opportunities in policy debate.

 

National Bike to Work Day

Fri, May 15. Schermerhorn Symphony Center plaza. One Symphony Place. 585-2014. 7:30 am - 8:15 am. Free. Bikers across Nashville will commute in to downtown and meet at the Schermerhorn plaza for free refreshments. Go to the Walk/Bike Nashville website to find out more about the various start locations and corresponding schedule. Everyone is encouraged to use alternative transportation to get to work on Friday!

 

Merrell Nashville Crawfish Boil

Fri, May 15 - Sat, May 16. LP Field, Lot R. $29.50 for a single day pass and $49.50 for a two-day pass. Gates open at 4:00 pm on Friday and 2:30 pm on Saturday. PLEASE NOTE: the festival was originally scheduled in Riverfront Park but has been moved to LP Field Lot R! 6th Annual Tour de Nash

Sat, May 16. LP Field's East Bank Greenway. 877-474-TOUR. Various start times. Join Mayor Dean at this non-competitive walk and ride for health. Tour de Nash is designed to introduce residents to Nashville's best places to bike or walk and to challenge them to live a more active lifestyle. Jo Dee Messina's Music Row Road Race

Sat, May 15. Start and finish line at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. $25 in advance, $30 day of. Registration begins at 7 am. Race options include a fun run, celebrity fun run and a 5K. Entertainment by Charlotte Medley, Rachel Williams, Due West and Jimmy Barret in Hall of Fame Park from 9 am - noon. Awards ceremony at 10:30 am.

 

John Adams Unbound

Kate Voegele Album Release Party and One Tree Hill Season Finale

National Tourism Week Nashville Rally
