Events this Week
Nissan Taste of Music City: An Evening with the Wines of Robert Mondavi Fri, Jun 4. Public Square Park. Corner of 3rd Avenue N. and Union Street. 5 pm - 8 pm. $25. The Robert Mondavi "Discover Wine Tour" will kick off the festival weekend with this Friday preview. There will be various wine selections onsite for sampling and appetizers provided by Cabana Restaurant.
Nissan Taste of Music City Festival Sat, Jun 5. Deaderick Street and Public Square Park. 11 am - 9 pm. An all day festival with free admission. Attendees will purchase tasting tickets at ticket booths located throughout the event to exchange at participating vendors for samples of food, wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, and more. Click here for a list of participating restaurants. Live music by the San Rafael Band, Mike Bauer, Rebecca Moreland and more. A benefit for the Martha O'Bryan Center.
Grand Reopening Ceremony at the Wildhorse Saloon Sat, Jun 5. Wildhorse Saloon. 120 2nd Avenue North. 902-8200. 2 pm - 3 pm. Free. Ceremony featuring an equine drill team, line dancing lesson, performance by Gaylord STARS, live music by Brother Trouble and Jeffrey Steele. Plus, ribbon cutting and speech by Pete Weien of the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center. PLEASE NOTE: Road closure: 2nd Avenue North from Broadway to Commerce Street will be closed from noon to 5 pm on Saturday.

Tuesday night's performers include Les Kerr, Philip Austin Mikula, Heath Forbes, Zach Broocke, Rick Tiger, Jason Daniels, Frank Taylor, Jeremy Rash and Matt Willis. Bring a picnic and blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the live music! Dogs are welcome, too. This concert benefits Second Harvest of Middle Tennessee.
