CMA Music Festival Events this Week
Thurs, Jun 10 - Sun, Jun 1 34. LP Field, Riverfront Park, Nashville Convention Center, Bridgestone Arena Plaza, Public Square, Lower Broadway and Hilton Park. $30 for a nightly pass to LP Field, 4-day passes with full access to all venues are $110 - $185. Tickets are available at the Bridgestone Arena Box Office or by calling 1-800-262-3378. Four days of concerts and events! Over 30,000 people are expected in downtown Nashville (see article below for road closure information). Nightly concerts at LP Field feature the big-name artists, daily concerts at Riverfront Park star big names and up-and-coming artists, and the Fan Fair Hall at the Nashville Convention Center offers autograph signings.
Take part in all of the FREE festivities offered this year:
Music City Zone in Public Square Fri, Jun 11 - Sun, Jun 13. Public Square. Corner of 3rd and Union. Free. Open noon - 5:30 pm (Fri), 10 am - 6 pm (Sat), and noon - 5:30 pm (Sun). Perfect for downtown employees during Friday's lunch break and downtown residents all weekend. Free live music in Public Square including performances by Chuck Mead, Mandy Barnett, The Grascals and more. Barbecue from Jim 'n Nick's and cold beverages in the beer garden. Downtown Employee Lunch Special: Show a work ID badge or business card for a free taco from Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q on Friday. Downtown Residents Special: Get two tacos for $5 all weekend. Look for Music City Zone posters around downtown with a scan-able Smartphone bar code for other daily deals and happy hour specials!
FREE Concerts in Riverfront Park Thurs, Jun 10 - Sun, Jun 13. Riverfront Park. 10 am - 6 pm. Free. Great artists including The Judds, Jack Ingram, Gretchen Wilson, Diamond Rio, Jo Dee Messina, Emerson Drive, Gloriana, and many, many more.
Additional free areas include the Family Zone in Hilton Park, the Bridgestone Arena Plaza stage, the Sports Zone in front of the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, the Fun Zone, and free concerts on the Hard Rock Cafe's outdoor stage starting at 11 am each day. Stages and areas are all on the festival's map.
Also, the Nashville Technology Council and the Country Music Association have teamed up to provide free Wi-Fi throughout the festival sites.

Half of the festival's proceeds will be donated to the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee's disaster relief fund for flood relief and the other half are donated to the Nashville Alliance for Public Education.
Attention: Road Closures!
Closed for CMA Music Festival June 9 - 14: All roads will re-open by the early morning hours of Monday, June 14.

Public Art Dedication Thurs, Jun 10. Public Square. 862-6720. 9 am. Free. Mayor Karl Dean will formally dedicate "Citizen," the city's newest public art during a ceremony in Public Square in front of the Metro Courthouse.
Art Friends Helping Finer Things Fri, Jun 11. The Arts Company's Avant-Garage. 215 5th Avenue North. 254-2040. 5 pm - 8 pm. The Arts Company, along with the Rymer Gallery and Tinney Contemporary, hosts a benefit for Finer Things, an art gallery that lost everything in the Flood of 2010. 100% of all sales of work by Finer Things artists will go to support rebuilding the gallery. Free parking for this event in the McKendree Parking Garage (140 6th Avenue N., corner of 6th and Commerce), provided by Premier Parking. |
