Downtown News & Information

 

Reopened after renovations - Bourbon Street Blues and Boogie Bar!

Bourbon Street Blues and Boogie Bar. 220 Printers Alley. 242-5937. Reopened after extensive renovations. Same great live music! Plus, now serving lunch. The lunch and dinner menus include Cajun and American food. Featuring live music every night and during lunch on weekdays. Hours are Mon - Sun, 11 am - 3 am.

 

4th of July Weekend Events

 

Let Freedom Sing! Music City July 4th Celebration

Sun, July 4. Riverfront Park. Activities start at noon, fireworks show at 9:30 pm. FREE. Hailed as one of the best fireworks displays in the nation, this event attracts more than 100,000 spectators each year. Festivities begin at noon with the free Family Fun Zone, featuring fun inflatables. Pre-show live music from 1:30 pm - 7 pm featuring Damien Horne, Jessie James and more. The official main stage concert will begin at 7 pm with Trace Adkins, Julianne Hough, Jaci Velazquez, and the Nashville Symphony Orchestra. This great party will conclude with the South's largest fireworks show at approximately 9:30 pm. Click here for more information about this event.

 

In addition, events are planned in Riverfront Park for Friday and Saturday - a full long weekend featuring events three days in a row! Friday (July 2) is a celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the General Jackson. Excursion cruises beginning at 1:30 pm for only $8. The day ends with a concert by Chuck Wicks at 8 pm and fireworks. Saturday (July 3) is a "Prelude to the 4th" with activities in the park beginning at noon. The day ends with a concert by Julianne Hough at 8 pm and fireworks. Fourth of July Music City 10K

Sun, July 4. Hilton Park. 225 5th Avenue South. 832-7649. 7 am. 10K run and a 5k run/walk. $35 registration in advance. The downtown route includes sights like the Bridgestone Arena, crossing over the Cumberland River on the Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge, Broadway's honky-tonks, LP Field, The Hermitage Hotel, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and more. Wear your favorite patriotic outfit to compete for a prize for the best costume!

 

Rooftop 4th of July Party at Aerial

Sun, July 4. Aerial (rooftop venue above Paradise Park and Big Bang). 411 Broadway. 251-9882. Doors open at 7 pm. $50 in advance. Cover charge includes a rooftop view of the fireworks, a complimentary cocktail, champagne toast, and dessert bar. Plus, cash bar and entertainment by guest DJs. Click here to purchase tickets

 

Rock 4th of July on The Ledge at the Hard Rock Cafe

Sun, July 4. Hard Rock Cafe. 100 Broadway. 742-9117. 7:30 pm. $25+tax per person. Enjoy Music City's 4th of July Celebration at the Hard Rock Cafe on The Ledge, the cafe's awesome new outdoor deck. The $25 fee includes reserved seating at 7:30 pm with a limited view of the fireworks and the Hard Rock's exclusive All Access membership. Details about this great membership are online here. Membership privileges include "rock star" treatment and priority seating at Hard Rock Cafes worldwide! A minimum of one entree per person is required. Fondue and Fireworks at The Melting Pot

Sun, July 4. The Melting Pot. 742-4970. Doors open at 1 pm, last seating for full dinner at 9:30 pm. Four-course featured menus begin at $38 per person. Fireworks at 9:30 pm directly behind the restaurant. Reservations highly recommended.

 

Laser Quest July 4th Specials

Sun, July 4. Laser Quest. 166 2nd Avenue N. 256-2560. Open from noon to 1 am. All games are $6.50 or play all day for only $35. The facility will close during the fireworks show.

 

Graham Central Station July 4th Rooftop Party
