Nashville Predators Skate of the Union Thurs, Jul 8. Bridgestone Arena. 501 Broadway. 770-2355. 4 pm - 8 pm. Free. The Predators annual "Skate of the Union" features an update on the latest hockey and business developments surrounding the team by President of Hockey Operations David Poile, President of Business Operations Ed Lang, Head Coach Barry Trotz and Chairman Tom Cigarran. The fan Q & A session will be hosted by Play-by-Play Announcer Pete Weber. In addition, meet Preds forward Joel Ward, recent first round draft picks and prospect (and Brentwood, TN native) Blake Geoffrion. Plus, a used equipment sale and a variety of Pro Shop specials!
Opening Reception: Eyewitness to the News Sat, July 10. Main Library. 615 Church Street. 2 pm - 4 pm. Free. Opening reception for Eyewitness to the News: A Chronicle of Our Times. From tragedy to triumph, from the mundane to the spectacular, Nashville Banner photographers recorded the daily news of the city and beyond for over 70 years. This exhibit showcases a sampling of their contributions to Nashville's chronicle of news and history from the 1930s-1990s. Located in the Courtyard Gallery.
