New cupcake shop - The Painted Cupcake! The Painted Cupcake. 2 Arcade. 254-2263. Downtown's first bakery focused exclusively on cupcakes. Hours are Mon - Fri, 7 am - 6 pm and Sat, 9 am - 6 pm.

Fri, July 10. Around downtown. 11 am - 1 pm. Free. Put your walking shoes on and walk with fellow downtown employees during your lunch break! Water stations will be located on each route. Route maps and more info are available online. This monthly event will continue during the first Friday of every month.
Argentinean Wine Tasting Event at Morton's Fri, July 10. Morton's The Steakhouse. 618 Church Street. 259-4558. 6 pm - 7:30 pm. $50. Explore Argentina's famous Malbec varietal from Mendoza and the Cafayate Valley. Each wine tasting is paired with Morton's signature hors d'oeuvres. Call 259-4558 to RSVP.

Sat, July 11. Riverfront Park. Gates open at 4 pm, music starts at 6 pm. $28. Performers include The Legendary Ohio Players, Lakeside, Evelyn Champayne King, Ready for the World, and Dru-Hill. Soul food and beverages will be sold at the festival. PLEASE NOTE: Road closures associated with this event include 1st Avenue from Demonbreun to Church Street and Broadway from 1st to 2nd Avenues (on Saturday, July 11).
