New Shoe Shine: Rhythm Shine

Sheraton Nashville Downtown, First Floor. 623 Union Street. 206-9632. This shoe shine business was formerly located at the airport. Drop-off service is also offered. Hours are Mon - Tues, 7 am to 8 pm; Wed, 7 am to 5 pm; and Thurs - Fri, 7 am to 8 pm.

New Bike Share Program at the Music City Star Riverfront Station

This program is free to Davidson County residents. Use the City Cruiser bikes for quick and easy business errands around downtown (bike parking is especially easy!) or to explore Nashville's greenways. Click here for all of the details.

The Swine Ball

Sat, Aug 21. aVenue. 120 3rd Avenue South. 7 pm - 11 pm. $65. Created almost 30 years ago by locals interested in supporting the American Cancer Society, the Swine Ball is a "proudly tacky" benefit event. Guests at this very casual ball will enjoy unlimited BBQ and beer. Musical entertainment by The Jason Bozik Band. Proceeds support the American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge and Camp Horizon. This ball leads up to next weekend's Music City BBQ Festival (August 27 - 28).

 

Lunchtime Concert Series

Tues, Aug 24. Main Library, Courtyard. 615 Church Street. 862-5800. 11:30 am. Free. Bring a lunch to the library courtyard and enjoy a concert every Tuesday through October 5. Blues legend Nick Nixson will perform on August 24.

 

EQUIP Professional Series: Why Smart Employees Underperform

Single Tickets Now On Sale!

Major venues, performing groups and sports teams are now selling single tickets for their upcoming seasons. The Nashville Symphony season begins this Sunday, August 22. Until the Schermerhorn Symphony Center reopens in January, performances are scheduled at TPAC, War Memorial Auditorium, the Ryman, and other venues. Single tickets can be purchased online and by calling 687-6400. The Nashville Predators pre-season begins on September 25. Single tickets can be purchased at the Bridgestone Arena box office, all Ticketmaster outlets and online. Single tickets are now on sale for Broadway at TPAC with the first show on September 21. Single tickets can be purchased at the TPAC Box Office, by calling 782-4040, or online. Single tickets for the 25th Anniversary Season of the Nashville Ballet will go on sale on Tuesday, September 7. Season tickets for all of these groups are also available, with details on their websites.

2-for-1 Michael Bolton Ticket Offer

Parking for Tennessee Titans' Games

 

The Public Square Garage at the Metro Courthouse is a great option for parking when attending Titans' games! From the garage, LP Field is only a five minute walk away and parking only costs $10 per game. Click here for details about the season package at this garage. The Titans' first home game is Monday, August 23.
