New Restaurant - Subway

Subway. 246 5th Avenue North. 242-9244. Subway is now open in their 5th Avenue location. Hours are Mon - Fri, 9 am - 6 pm and Sat, 10 am - 3 pm. Plus, Subway has three additional locations downtown: 222 2nd Avenue N., 162 4th Avenue N., and 530 Church Street.

Battle of the Bands presented by CMT
Sat, Dec 26. 2nd Avenue between Commerce Street and Demonbreun. 5 - 7 pm. Free. The University of Kentucky marching band will march down 2nd Avenue towards Broadway. The Clemson University band will march down 1st Avenue towards Broadway. The bands will then meet for a battle on Broadway in front of the Hard Rock Cafe. Afterwards, "Music Fest" features multiple downtown venues with live music. www.musiccitybowl.com


Pay Attention - Road Closures!
Sat, Dec 26. The Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl has received permission for the following street closings for the Battle of the Bands: 1st Avenue from Church Street to Demonbreun beginning at 4 pm; Broadway from 1st Avenue to 3rd Avenues beginning at 2 pm; and 2nd Avenue from Church Street to Demonbreun beginning at 4 pm. Road closures on bowl game day are the same as for a Titans game. For a detailed description of game day road closures, click here.

 

Pre-game Fan Zone Party - Sunday, December 27
Sun, Dec 27. LP Field Lot R. Festivities begin at 4:00 pm. Free and open to the public; no ticket is needed. Football fans will party within steps of LP Field in the South End Zone in Lot R. Live entertainment and interactive games for the entire family. A great start for game day! The bowl game kicks off at 7:30 pm at LP Field.
