Walk 100 Miles: Downtown to Morgan Park

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 8, 5:30 PM
LOCATION: PUBLIC SQUARE PARK FREE

Join Mayor Karl Dean in his campaign to get Nashville moving. The walk begins and ends at Public Square Park. The 4.8-mile evening walk is free and family-friendly and is part of the "Walk 100 Miles with the Mayor" campaign.

 

40th Annual CMA Music Festival

THURSDAY, JUNE 9 - SUNDAY, JUNE 12
LOCATION: LP FIELD $35 FOR LP FIELD CONCERTS; ALL OTHER CONCERTS FREE

Four days of concerts and events! See article below for road closure information. Nightly concerts at LP Field feature the big-name artists, daily concerts at Riverfront Park star well known and up-and-coming artists, and the Fan Fair Hall at the Nashville Convention Center offers autograph signings.

 

Take part in all of the FREE festivities offered this year including the FREE Concerts in Riverfront Park:

Performances from 10 am to 6 pm. Free. Great artists including Gary Allan, Jo Dee Messina, Emerson Drive, Chuck Wicks, Bucky Covington, and many, many more.

 

Additional free areas include the Family Zone in Walk of Fame Park, the Bridgestone Arena Plaza stage, the Sports Zone in front of the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, the Fun Zone, the Power Zone and free concerts on the Hard Rock Cafe's outdoor stage starting at 11 am each day. Stages and areas are all on the festival's map.

Open House

THURSDAY, JUNE 9, 7 PM - 9 PM
LOCATION: THE GRAND LODGE OF TENNESSEE OF THE FREE AND ACCEPTED MASONS FREE

Observance Lodge #686 Free and Accepted Masons will host a special open house at the Grand Lodge. The open house will include a guided tour of the newly remodeled building and the museum. Cookies and coffee will be offered after the tour. Enter the Grand Lodge building from Broadway.


Nashville Symphony: Regions Free Community Concert

FRIDAY, JUNE 10, 8 PM
LOCATION: BICENTENNIAL MALL FREE

Pack a picnic dinner, bring friends and family and celebrate summertime with a great evening of free music by the Nashville Symphony.


Downtown Library 10th Anniversary Celebration

SATURDAY, JUNE 11, 10 AM
LOCATION: NASHVILLE PUBLIC LIBRARY FREE

Join the library celebration featuring cupcakes, good ole bluegrass music, a frog bean bag toss and origami frog making. Celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the beautiful building!


First Lutheran 60th Anniversary Celebration

SATURDAY, JUNE 11 - SUNDAY, JUNE 12
LOCATION: FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH ELCA FREE

First Evangelical Lutheran Church will host their 60th anniversary celebration. This two-day celebration will feature music, food and games. On Saturday, a downtown historical church bus tour begins at 9:30 am. Call 615-361-3737 to reserve a spot. Sunday's festivities include hymns from 1951 during the 10:30 am service, a special luncheon following the worship service and birthday festivities with live music. Sixty years ago on June 10, 1951 the First Lutheran Church building was dedicated on the corner of 8th Avenue S. and McGavock.


Mark Chesnutt's Country in My Blood: Blood Drive

MONDAY, JUNE 13, 11 AM - 4 PM
LOCATION: WHISKEY BENT SALOON FREE

Country in My Blood: Blood Drive. To schedule a blood donation appointment for this drive, call 615-330-2151 or log on to redcrossblood.org and enter sponsor code: WhiskeyBent. All blood donors will receive one ticket to the meet and greet event prior to Mark's performance at Whiskey Bent Saloon on Thursday, June 16.

CMA Music Festival: Closed through Monday, June 13 (early morning hours):
- Broadway from 2nd Avenue to 3rd Avenue and Broadway from 3rd Avenue to 4th Avenue closed from noon on Wednesday, June 8 to the early morning hours of Monday, June 13 (2nd Avenue, 3rd Avenue and 4th Avenue will remain open to traffic)
- 1st Avenue from Demonbreun to Church Street
- Broadway from 1st Avenue to 2nd Avenue
