Celebrate Nashville as the hometown of living legends from all music genres with the Nashville Scene’s Sounds Like Summer concert series on Thursdays throughout the month of July. Guilty Pleasures will perform on Thursday, July 28 - the final concert in this series. Sounds Like Summer is a 21+ event.

Nashville’s most delightfully tacky ball, The Swine Ball, will be held on board the General Jackson. This "Pig Nose Required" event features live music, dancing with Grand Ol’ Porker, and great BBQ. Put on your tux or jeans and cowboy boots (the pig snout will be provided) and dance the night away to the tunes of Super T and the Tyrone Smith Revue. The voice of the Nashville Predators, Pete Weber, will emcee the event. The General Jackson showboat will be docked at the foot of Broadway in Riverfront Park and guests are welcome to come and go as they please. A silent auction will be held with 100% of the proceeds benefiting STARS (Students Taking a Right Stand) and the T.J. Martell Foundation.

Mix 92.9 celebrates Christmas in July at the Regions Center plaza (corner of 3rd Avenue N. and Union). Free Blue Bell ice cream to those who make a donation to the Salvation Army's Angel Tree campaign.

The popular summer concert series at the Frist Center! DJ Ron Slomowicz will transform the Turner Courtyard of the Frist Center with music and sounds reminiscent of the infamous Studio 54. This disco of the 1970's and 1980's was notable for its glamorous nightlife and celebrity guest list which often included pop artist Andy Warhol (whose works are currently on display). Light appetizers are provided and there is a cash bar. No admission charge for members, and non-members pay $10. Admission includes entrance to current exhibits including Warhol Live. This is the final Frist Friday of 2011!

Brewers from around the country call the Music City Brewer's Festival one of the best festivals they participate in all year! Sample beer from over 50 local, regional and national breweries. Live music by the Big Tasties, Honeybaked, the San Rafael Band, and Guthrie Trapp & Friends. Food from area restaurants will be available for purchase. This festival has two sessions. The only session with tickets remaining is shift A: noon - 4 pm. 15% of net ticket sales benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.
Puckett's hosts songwriters and musicians throughout the week. Most weekday shows are free and most shows on Friday and Saturday have a cover charge.
