New restaurant - Etch!
303 Demonbreun. 615-522-0685. This new restaurant located on the ground floor of the Encore features a contemporary and eclectic menu from well-known chef Deb Paquette. Hours are Mon - Thurs, 11 am to 2 pm and 5 pm to 10 pm; Fri, 11 am to 2 pm and 5 pm to 11 pm; and Sat, 5 pm to 11 pm.
New restaurant - Blue Coast Burrito!
500 Church Street, Suite 120. 615-748-3003. This new fast casual restaurant on 5th Avenue between Puckett's and The Arts Company is open for lunch and dinner. Order from a selection of burritos, salads, quesadillas, and other Baja-style fare. Hours are Mon - Sat, 10:30 am - 8 pm and Sun, 10:30 am - 3 pm.

The 13th Annual Americana Music Festival features over 100 live performances in four nights. Check out the showcases each night at the Station Inn, Mercy Lounge, The Rutledge, High Watt, Cannery Ballroom, and on Thursday night at Live on the Green. Thousands of artists, fans and industry professionals from all over the world will gather for this festival honoring great music. A $50 wristband grants access to all of the venues every night of the festival. Must purchase in advance.
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, NOON - 1 PM
LOCATION: NASHVILLE PUBLIC LIBRARY FREE
Over 4.5 million students are targets of educator sexual misconduct at some point between kindergarten and 12th grade. You Have the Power, the victim advocacy agency founded by Andrea Conte, has created a documentary video to explore the long-term impact on the victims. Participants will have the opportunity to view the video as well as hear from experts on the topic. A boxed lunch will be provided to the first 100 people who register.

Enjoy live music outside in Public Square, located in front of the Metro Courthouse. This fourth annual concert series brings local and national artists to the stage. The Wallflowers, Delta Spirit and The Dunwells will perform on Thursday, September 13. Blankets, folding chairs, strollers, and water bottles are welcomed at this free concert series. $3 parking available in the Metro Courthouse parking garage located directly below the park. Free bicycle parking. VIP tickets available for $45 (or $270 for a season pass). Tickets include beer, wine, soft drinks, water, food, and an incredible view of the stage.

Dan's Gourmet Spot Artisan Mac & Cheese is hosting a fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation! Enjoy tastings of Dan's five types of gourmet mac-and-cheese, wine, cocktails, food from restaurants in The Gulch, and Yazoo beer. The event will be held on the pool deck at Terrazzo. All proceeds benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Benjamin Hatagan and Kylie Rothfield will provide recipes and tastings of healthy vegetarian alternatives to classic comfort foods. Advance registration is required. All participants will receive a 10% discount on groceries purchased at the time of the class. Those who complete a class survey will receive a $5 gift card toward grocery purchases during a return visit. This class will also be offered on Saturday, September 15 from 10 am - 11 am.
The iconic Boyz II Men redefined R&B in the 1990's with their "hip-hop doo wop" and revolutionized the genre with their sweet harmonies and stirring balladry. Celebrating their 20th anniversary in 2012, they sound just as fresh as ever. They’ll bring their singular style for an evening of such timeless hits as "End of the Road" and "On Bended Knee," along with some classic Motown soul. Boyz II Men also performs on Thursday and Saturday.

Help support the fight against pancreatic cancer by participating in PurpleStride Nashville 2012. The start and finish line is in front of the Country Music Hall of Fame in Walk of Fame Park. Stride with others who are just as passionate about finding a cure for pancreatic cancer and enjoy a timed 5K and family-friendly run/walk to honor and remember loved ones. Plus, kids' activities, live music and more! NOTE: Road closures associated with this event.
Celebrating ten years of this annual event on the Shelby Street Bridge! Unique atmosphere for wine novices and connoisseurs alike. A "world tour" of hundreds of wine, beer and spirit samples from ten different regions around the world. Food vendors will also serve food from these ten regions. Live music by the Nashville Symphony Quartet, San Rafael Band, and Teri Reid. A portion of proceeds will benefit Hands On Nashville.

Enjoy live Jazz on the third Sunday of every month through November. The Michael Fair Band will play on Sunday, September 16. Live music will be performed in the park's amphitheater.

The library's hit music series continues. Bring a lunch to the library courtyard and enjoy free music by top acts in many genres every Tuesday through October 9. Classical cellist Sara Sant'Ambrogio will perform on Tuesday, September 18.
Join Big River as they tap their famous fall brew, Oktoberfest. Enjoy samples of the new brew plus passed appetizer samples from the Fall menu, and a raffle for Big River merchandise and gift cards. Oktoberfest is a medium-bodied lager, amber in color with a toasted malt character. A portion of proceeds benefit the Tennessee Wildlife Federation.
Celebrate the launch of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum's young professional membership level – the Troubadour Society. The evening features a special live musical performance in the Museum’s Hall of Fame Rotunda, complimentary cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, and private after hours access to all of the Museum’s exhibitions. Special guests will include Nashville's most influential young music industry professionals and community leaders. The price of joining at this new membership level is $60. Attendees at this launch event will receive a special onsite discount, although membership is not required to attend.

LOCATION: BACK ALLEY DINER FREE; DONATIONS ENCOURAGED
Enjoy live music from local songwriters including Anthony Billups, Dave Kroll, Ariel Hill, John Nemeth, the Mulch Brothers, Demetri Moon, Matt Rogers, and Keesy Timmer. Plus, gift bags, CDs, merchandise and apparel giveaways. A portion of the restaurant's proceeds from the night will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. All donations collected at the door will go to CFF.
