A traditional Thanksgiving dinner with a twist of elegance. This family-style feast includes apple wood smoked turkey breast and leg, andouille sausage and sage cornbread dressing, butternut squash bisque, fall crunch salad, pineapple sweet potato casserole, yeast rolls with cinnamon honey butter, an assortment of holiday desserts and more. Hearts In Motion

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 23, 7 PM - 8:30 PM
LOCATION: FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH ELCA FREE

Hearts In Motion, a gospel choir from Norway, will perform at this Christmas concert. Their rich Norwegian Yule musical traditions bring melodies and arrangements that will surprise and delight the audience. They will be joined by Norwegian recording artist and Nashville resident, Solveig Leithaug. Free parking provided in the parking lot at the corner of 8th Avenue S and McGavock.


Deck the Hall Tree Lighting Ceremony with Craig Morgan

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 23, 4 PM
LOCATION: COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM FREE

Kick-off this year's Deck the Hall season at the CMHOF in style. Craig Morgan will put everyone in the holiday spirit with a free concert, tree lighting, and autograph signing. A great event for the whole family! The live performance is general admission only with limited seating. An autograph signing will immediately follow the concert. Craig Morgan will sign copies of his CD, This Ole Boy, purchased from the Museum Store.

Holiday Concert: Nashville in Harmony

Nashville in Harmony, a city chorus of GLBT people and their supporters, is proud to bring a unique style and voice to the Nashville scene. NIH brings Nashvillians together, both within the GLBT community and throughout the city. NIH performs all style of music, from classical (with a twist) to pop, utilizing a diversity of instruments from many to none at all. The repertoire includes songs that align with their mission, those that are purely fun, and everything in between.

Barbara Kingsolver, author of fourteen books (including include short stories, essay collections, poetry, and seven novels), discusses her latest novel, Flight Behavior. The novel takes on one of the most contentious subjects of our time: climate change. With a deft and versatile empathy she dissects the motives that drive denial and belief in a precarious world.


The Turnip Truck: Local Holiday Tasting

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 28, 5 PM - 7 PM
LOCATION: THE TURNIP TRUCK URBAN FARE FREE

Enjoy a chocolate, coffee, and beer tasting at Turnip Truck's holiday open house. The event highlights locally and regionally made chocolates, local coffee roasters, local and regional breweries including the Bang Candy Company, Bongo Java, Drew’s Brews, Just Love Coffee, Goo Goo Cluster, Nashville Toffee, Olive & Sinclair, Raw Shakti Chocolate, Terrapin Beer Company, and Yazoo Brewing Company.
