New restaurant: Rumours Wine Bar!
1104 Division Street. 615-432-2740. The popular 12th South neighborhood restaurant is now located in The Gulch! Menu items include favorites from their original location like the cheese plate, salads, and scallops over mushroom risotto, plus many new dishes. Hours of operation are Monday - Sunday, 4 pm - midnight.
 

Tours are available: Bicentennial Mall!
Weekly tours are now being offered every Wednesday at 2 pm. The tour meets under the train trestle outside the park's Visitor Center. The tour lasts approximately one hour and discusses the significance of the park and the history of Tennessee. No sign-up necessary, except for groups of 25 people or more. Traces

THROUGH SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 24, SHOW TIMES VARY BY DATE
LOCATION: TPAC - TENNESSEE PERFORMING ARTS CENTER $25 - $65

Fusing the traditions of circus with the energy of street performance, the artists of Traces employ every trick in the book to make a lasting impression. Performances and tricks include music, dance, illustration, skateboarding, basketball, and high-risk acrobatics. The show is spectacularly anti-spectacle, relying on the fantastic abilities of the performers. This 90-minute show is performed without an intermission.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 21, PRE-SHOW EVENT: 5:30 PM - 7 PM; SHOW STARTS AT 7:30 PM
LOCATION: NASHVILLE CITY CLUB PRE-SHOW EVENT: FREE; SHOW TICKET: $15

Opening Act is a young professionals group for theatre, arts and music lovers. Enjoy drink specials and free appetizers at the Nashville City Club prior to the show (5:30 pm - 7 pm), followed by the Broadway production of Traces at 7:30 pm at TPAC. 2013 LEGO Contest

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 21 - SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 24, ALL DAY
LOCATION: NASHVILLE PUBLIC LIBRARY FREE

Use your own plastic bricks to create an original LEGO creation for this annual contest. First place prizes will be awarded in various age group categories, from preschoolers to adults. 10 Year Birthday Bash

Ford Community Day

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 9 AM - 5 PM
LOCATION: COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM FREE

For the sixth consecutive year, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is partnering with the Ford Motor Company Fund to present a FREE admission day as a "thank you" to the Middle Tennessee community for its support. Events include a fiddle and banjo demonstration, musical petting zoo for children, Hatch Show Print letterpress demonstration, performance and autograph signing by Josh Turner, performance and autograph signing by Lauren Alaina, and much more. SportsFest

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 9 AM - 5 PM
LOCATION: NASHVILLE CONVENTION CENTER $10 ADULTS; $5 CHILDREN (AGES 3-12)

SportsFest hosted by 104.5 The Zone is a family-friendly day full of sports fun. The speaker series features University of Tennessee Coach Butch Jones, Western Kentucky University Coach Bobby Petrino, Titans' players and many more. Free shuttle service from LP Field's Lot A to the convention center from 8 am to 5 pm.

 

Our Kids Soup Sunday

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 11 AM - 2 PM
LOCATION: LP FIELD $20

Grab your spoon for the 20th annual Our Kids Soup Sunday. This grand tasting event features delicious soups from 50 local restaurants. Also, children's activities, a silent auction and celebrity judges. The event will be held inside LP Field's Club Level West. This year's event is sponsored by Ford and US Foods.

Road Closure

Union Street between 2nd Avenue and 3rd Avenue will be closed on Friday, February 22 between 7 am and 7 pm. Downtown employees who utilize Union Street are encouraged to seek alternate routes for their morning and afternoon commutes.
