News & Information

New coffee shop: Bond Coffee Company!
602 12th Avenue South. 615-810-9940. This new coffee shop in The Gulch offers breakfast and lunch items in additional to a full beverage menu. Hours of operation are Mon - Thurs, 6 am - 9 pm, Fri, 6 am - 10 pm, and Sat, 7 am - 10 pm.

New restaurant: Subway!
302 11th Avenue South. 615-499-4026. Subway has opened up a location in The Gulch. Hours of operation are Mon - Fri, 7 am - 11 pm, Sat, 8 am - 11 pm, and Sun, 9 am - 10 pm. 


Road Closures

Several road closures are planned this weekend!

5th Avenue North is changing from a one-way to a two-way street. Incremental road closures begin Thursday, May 9 and run through Saturday, May 11. Check out this detour map.

2nd Avenue, Church Street and additional streets will be closed on Saturday, May 11 for the Tap 'N Run 4K

4th Avenue North will be closed on Sunday, May 12 from 6 am to noon due to a sign installation on the One Nashville Place Building. Additional closures are involved with this project, here is the full list. The roads will re-open when the installation is complete, which could be before noon.  


Events This Week

Picnic in the Park

THURSDAY, MAY 9, 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM

Head to Church Street Park on your lunch break and enjoy a picnic in the park! Local food trucks Crepe A Diem and Moovers and Shakers will be on site. Or, bring your own lunch and enjoy eating outdoors. Tables and chairs will be set up.

Tap 'n Run 4K


Tap 'N Run combines a ridiculous running race (a 4K with two beer chug stations along the race course), a full beer at the Finish Line, a costume contest, and unbelievable athleticism. All registrants who complete the race will receive a finisher's medal and a commemorative t-shirt. PLEASE NOTE: Road closures associated with this event! Most closures on this map will be in place from 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm. Two streets will be closed for a longer period of time: 2nd Avenue North from Commerce Street to Church Street and Church Street between 1st and 2nd Avenues will be closed from 9 am - 9 pm. Start line: 2nd Avenue N and Commerce. Finish line: 2nd Avenue N and Church.

Urban Residents Association: Mixer

MONDAY, MAY 13, 5:30 PM - 7 PM

Live downtown? Mix and mingle with your downtown neighbors. The first domestic pint is free for every URA member, plus members receive a 10% discount on all food and beverage purchases. Free chips and salsa at the mixer.

Audience Opportunity: CMT Hot 20 Countdown

TUESDAY, MAY 14, 8:15 AM - 4:00 PM

Description: Be part of the audience for CMT's new Hot 20 Countdown. Two segments: 8:15 am to noon and 12:30 pm to 4 pm. Sign up to come to either segment or both. Ages 18 and up only. Additional opportunities to be part of the CMT Hot 20 Countdown audience on May 28, June 11, and June 25. Same location and times apply.

Q It Up Live: Darryl Worley and more


Darryl Worley, Danielle Peck, Sarah Darling, Mo Pitney and Friends of Lola will perform at this event hosted by Adam Wurzel. VIP tickets priced at $35 include food, two Jack Daniel's drinks and a gift. Plus, a silent auction for the American Red Cross.
