Tapping of the Summer Honey Ale

WEDNESDAY, JULY 17, 5 PM - 7 PM
LOCATION: ROCK BOTTOM RESTAURANT & BREWERY FREE

Join Rock Bottom as they tap their Summer Honey Ale. Enjoy passed appetizers and a Summer Honey raffle.


Nashville Dancin': Oak Creek Band

THURSDAY, JULY 18, 5 PM - 11 PM
LOCATION: RIVERFRONT PARK FREE

Nashville Dancin' presented by Dollar General brings local and national artists to the stage for this free concert series hosted by Storme Warren. Riverfront Park's grassy slopes provide natural stadium seating for all to enjoy the live music. Plus, a variety of local food trucks will be on-site. Gates open at 5 pm and the music begins at 6 pm. The line-up for Thursday, July 18 is the Oak Creek Band, Mike Farris & the Roseland Rhythm Revue, The Kingston Springs, Sol Cat, and Roots of a Rebellion. Free parking available in LP Field's parking Lot R, plus free shuttle service from this surface lot to Riverfront Park!


Duckhorn Summer Surf 'n' Turf Dinner

THURSDAY, JULY 18, 6:30 PM
LOCATION: THE PALM $120

Indulge in a multi-course summer feast featuring selections of wine from the Duckhorn portfolio. The menu includes mozzarella di bufala and roasted pepper crostini, heirloom tomato and watermelon salad, signature Palm surf 'n' turf (half jumbo Nova Scotia lobster and half prime New York strip), medallions of Wild Alaskan halibut filet, salt and vinegar new potatoes, mixed berry cobbler, and more! Picnic in the Park

THURSDAY, JULY 18, 11 AM - 1 PM
LOCATION: CHURCH STREET PARK

Head to Church Street Park on your lunch break and enjoy a picnic in the park! Performances by The DancEast Workshop beginning at noon. Plus, food available for purchase from local food trucks, Smoke Et Al and Moovers and Shakers. The trucks will be on site from 11 am to 1 pm. Or, bring your own lunch and enjoy eating outdoors while listening to great live music. Tables, chairs, and umbrellas will be set up for this event.


Night Market

FRIDAY, JULY 19, 5 PM - 8 PM
LOCATION: NASHVILLE FARMERS' MARKET FREE

Enjoy shopping, wine from the cash bar, live music, artisan booths, and more at this monthly event. All Market House restaurants and shops will be open. Vendors in the farm sheds will sell local produce, meat, cheese, plants, and more! Plus, live music by Natchez Trace Jazz and more, beer and wine available for purchase, and treats from the Grow Local Kitchen.


Wine and Swine

LOCATION: THE BRIDGE BUILDING $55 - $75

Come see the unique view of the Nashville skyline and Cumberland River at this event. Enjoy live entertainment, wine from Midtown Wine & Spirits, and food from your favorite local restaurants.


String City: Nashville's Tradition of Music and Puppetry

SATURDAY, JULY 20, 10 AM AND 11:30 AM
LOCATION: NASHVILLE PUBLIC LIBRARY FREE

String City: Nashville’s Tradition of Music and Puppetry is a colorful telling of the history of country music in Nashville. Numerous marionettes, hand puppets, rod puppets, shadow puppets, and more are used in this performance. String City was created by Wishing Chair Productions in partnership with the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, and was made possible by the Nashville Public Library Foundation and Judy and Steve Turner. Show run time: 60 minutes.


I AM Outreach

SATURDAY, JULY 20, 3 PM - 6 PM
LOCATION: NASHVILLE FARMERS' MARKET FREE

Nashville-based I AM The Engine, an organization focused on promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyle choices, is presenting the city's first-ever I AM Outreach event to celebrate healthy, active living as a cause for all. It's an afternoon designed to encourage inner-city youth and their families to make health and well-being a priority. Attendees are encouraged to bring and donate outgrown and gently-used bicycles, helmets, skateboards, hiking boots, backpacks, baseball mitts and other sporting gear to help inner-city youth get outdoors and active.


Predators' Open House

SATURDAY, JULY 20, 10 AM - 4 PM
LOCATION: BRIDGESTONE ARENA FREE

A day full of Preds fun! An open house from 10 am to 4 pm featuring the team's popular used equipment sale, an open skate on the Bridgestone Arena ice (bring your own skates), a pro shop sidewalk sale, and locker room tours. Season Tickets for the 2013-14 Nashville Predators season are on sale now and start at just $20 per game. Full season ticket holders will receive a savings of 50 percent off the single game ticket price for selected games during the 13-14 season. 15-game plan holders will receive a savings of 40 percent off the single game ticket price for selected games during the season. Jazz on the Cumberland

SUNDAY, JULY 21, 5:30 PM - 8 PM
LOCATION: CUMBERLAND PARK FREE

Enjoy live jazz on the third Sunday of every month through October. The Joe Johnson Band will perform on Sunday, July 21 in the park's amphitheater. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome at this event. Food available for purchase from local food trucks.


Artful Tales: "How to Ride in an Art Car"

SUNDAY, JULY 21, 2 PM - 3 PM
LOCATION: FRIST CENTER FOR THE VISUAL ARTS FREE

Enjoy a rhyming story about a boy who gets inspired after seeing the inside of a classic Art Deco car from the 1930's. Listen and play along as this art-related story comes to life. Then, head upstairs to the art studio and make an artwork that relates to the story. Let your imagination run wild and collaborate to create your own idealized automobile. All ages.


Bring Your Kids to Fondue

SUNDAY, JULY 21, 12:30 PM - 5 PM
LOCATION: THE MELTING POT

Share the experience of fondue with your kids on Sundays at the Melting Pot. Enjoy a three-course specialty dinner including cheese fondue, specialty entree and dessert. Plus, magic by John Midley and balloons by Scott Tripp. Prices vary based on diner's age: $34.95* (adult: ages 17 and up), $23.95 (young adult: ages 13-16), and $17.95 (child: ages 12 and under). Prices listed are for all three courses and do not include tax or gratuity. *Kids eat free offer: only one child free per paying adult. Nashville MTA Public Meeting

MONDAY, JULY 22, 11 AM - 1 PM AND 4 PM - 6 PM
LOCATION: MUSIC CITY CENTRAL (BUS STATION) FREE

The Nashville Metropolitan Transit Authority will hold public meetings regarding proposed changes for its biannual system changes. Changes are being proposed for routes 15 Murfreesboro Pike, 24X Bellevue Express and 42 St. Cecilia/Cumberland. In addition, MTA is seeking comments regarding potential routing changes to multiple routes due to 5th Avenue becoming bidirectional.


Food Truck Tuesdays

TUESDAY, JULY 23, 11 AM - 1 PM
LOCATION: FIRST BAPTIST NASHVILLE

Join First Baptist Nashville this summer for Food Truck Tuesdays. A food truck or two will be stationed in the church's driveway between 6th and 7th Avenues. Trucks scheduled for July 23 are Riff's and Just Like Nannie Fixed It.


Flying Saucer to raise a glass for Pints for Prostates

WEDNESDAY, JULY 24, 7 PM
LOCATION: FLYING SAUCER DRAUGHT EMPORIUM

On Wednesdays in July, Flying Saucer's "Brewery Night" will feature a different European classic beer with the brand's signature logo glassware. All profits from glass purchases support Pints for Prostates, and the campaign culminates July 24 with a drawing for a trip to Belgium, Holland and Germany.
