New bakery: Sophia Isabella's the Royal Wedding Cakes!
28 Arcade. 615-610-2689. This new bakery in the Arcade sells baked goods and custom cakes. Hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 11:30 am to 4:30 pm.
New restaurant: The 404 Kitchen!
404 12th Avenue South. 615-251-1404. This new restaurant in The Gulch offers a modern take on classic European cuisine. Hours of operation are Tuesday - Thursday, 5 pm to 10 pm and Friday - Saturday, 5 pm to 11 pm.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2 PM - 3:30 PM
LOCATION: NASHVILLE FARMERS' MARKET FREE
The Metro Planning Department will hold an information session and community meeting to discuss the proposed baseball stadium in Sulphur Dell (south of Jefferson/Jackson Street, west of Third Avenue North, north of Harrison Street, and east of Fifth Avenue North). This event will include discussions about the stadium project, site and building design, street design, and operational impacts. Community members will have the opportunity to submit questions and comments.
3rd and Church Healthcare is celebrating its four years downtown with an open house to educate attendees on its existing and new services. New services include physiotherapy, acupuncture, psychotherapy, botox and cosmetic services. There will be food, drinks, live music and giveaways! Also, enter their drawing to win one free facial or one free botox treatment.

By employing the language of popular culture and advertising in his work, Hank Willis Thomas explicitly addresses race, class and history in a way that is accessible and easy to decode. In this lecture, the "30 Americans" artist will explore how the visual culture of the past affects and intersects with our current worldview.
One of the final events in the nine-month Keep America Beautiful campaign to raise awareness about the harmful effects of littering. Five songwriters will take the stage for a chance to win up to $2,000 and have their jingle played on Lightning 100 throughout the month of November. Emcee DJ Wells Adams of Lightning 100, known for discovering and featuring local talent on his radio show the615, will serve as one of the judges and give away door prizes at the event.

Metro Water Services, the Tennessee Department of Environment & Conservation and the Tennessee Stormwater Association have teamed up to host the Urban Runoff 5K. The run begins at the Bicentennial Mall and weaves its way past several green stormwater management practices. Net proceeds from this event will benefit Hands on Nashville, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing a variety of programs that help meet community needs and engage groups in volunteerism, including The Waterway Recovery and Restoration Program. Participants can register online. NOTE! Road closures associated with this event. Closures begin as early as 6 am and end as late as 10 am on Saturday, October 26.

LIVE is a special event to help support those living with cancer. Black 13 Tattoo artists are preparing sheets of pre-designed tattoo images for customers to choose from, with some featuring cancer survival themes. Each tattoo has a $100 minimum donation, with 100% of the proceeds going to the cause. In addition to the tattoos, there will be family-friendly activities, t-shirts for purchase, art showings and much more! All proceeds from the event will benefit PearlPoint Cancer Support.

Get ready for a one-of-a-kind spooktacular Halloween event sure to shake the heart of Nashville. In addition to the stage at Anthem, The Monster Block Party will haunt the 12th Avenue Block Party Pavilion and 12th & Porter. There will also be a haunted house for those who dare. This year's party will feature music from Steve Aoki, Borgore, Waka Flocka, Autoerotique and more!
Bobby Bare, "Cowboy" Jack Clement and Kenny Rogers are being welcomed as the Country Music Hall of Fame's newest members. The public is invited to attend the annual red carpet fan experience outside the museum for a chance to catch a glimpse of the new inductees, as well as other stars as they arrive for the evening. Fans will enjoy interviews from the red carpet, trivia and giveaways hosted by 650 AM WSM's Bill Cody.
Yazoo's third Annual Big Wheel Championship will be held at 915 Division Street (across from the brewery). Registration begins at noon, and the first race will begin at 1 pm. Co-ed teams of four are randomly bracketed and will compete in team relays against one another until a winner is declared. Registration includes each team's race entry, team shirts, the first beverage of the day and more. The event is free to attend and $40 to compete.

Garrison Keillor is an author, storyteller, humorist and celebrated radio host of A Prairie Home Companion. Keillor will discuss "O What a Luxury: Verses Lyrical, Vulgar, Pathetic & Profound," his first poetry collection. A book signing will follow.
This four-week art workshop allows your creativity to soar during the lunch hour with award-winning artists as your instructors. The series continues this week featuring watercolor painting instructed by Jim Pfeffer. A light lunch will be available while you work. Return to your office with a piece of art created by you. Pre-registration is required in order to ensure sufficient food and art supplies.
