"We Will Rock You" is a musical based on the greatest hits of the British rock group, Queen. Seen by more than 15 million people worldwide, this award-winning phenomenon tells the story of a group of Bohemians who are fighting against conformity in a future society.

 

 

America Recycles Day

 

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 9 AM - 1 PM
LOCATION: FIFTH THIRD CENTER FREE

The Nashville Downtown Partnership and Sims Recycling Solutions will host this collection event for America Recycles Day. Old and unused electronics will be securely and responsibly recycled. NCC Annual Champagne Tasting

 

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 6 PM - 8 PM
LOCATION: NASHVILLE CITY CLUB $55 UNCORKED MEMBERS, $65 NCC MEMBERS, $75 GENERAL PUBLIC

This annual event features multiple champagne and sparkling wine stations for guests to enjoy, along with a spread of hors d'oeuvres and an impressive view of the city.

 

Nashville International Auto Show

 

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 15 - SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 17, FRIDAY AND SATURDAY: 10 AM - 9 PM, SUNDAY: 10 AM - 5 PM

The Nashville International Auto Show will feature more than 250 of the latest cars, trucks, crossovers and more. Whether a car buff, just browsing or in the market for a new vehicle, attendees are invited to check out the newest rides, experience the latest in-car technology and even test drive several new models on site. The auto show will also include high-end luxury cars, plug-in electric vehicles, family fun and more.

Free Family Festival Day

Explore what it means to be an American with a day of discovery and imagination filled with art activities, live performances and exciting programs inspired by the Frist's current exhibitions: "American Chronicles: The Art of Norman Rockwell," "30 Americans" and "Ana Maria Tavares: Deviating Utopias." Festivities include puppet shows, carnival games, sidewalk chalk and more.

 

Cherokee Story Telling with Gayle Ross

 

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 2 PM
LOCATION: TENNESSEE STATE MUSEUM FREE

Renowned storyteller Gayle Ross, descendant of Chief John Ross who was the principal leader of the Cherokee Nation during the infamous Trail of Tears, will share stories recounted to her by her grandmother. Ross has been described by the Smithsonian Institution as “one of the best loved, most respected storytellers to emerge from the current surge of interest in this timeless art form.”

 

Mighty Men Conference USA

 

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 7 PM
LOCATION: BRIDGESTONE ARENA $21.50

Mighty Men Conferences are a global initiative that seek to bring together thousands of men for worship and prayer as founder Angus Buchan shares his world-famous message on seeking God's direction. The conference will feature musical performances by "American Idol" winner Scotty McCreery and country music artist Charlie Daniels.

 

3rd Annual Mayor's Challenge 5K Walk/Run

 

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 2 PM
LOCATION: PUBLIC SQUARE FREE

Join Mayor Karl Dean for his third annual 5K. Everyone is welcome to participate, no matter age or fitness level. The race is free, but advanced registration is encouraged. Activities and registration begin at noon. The Kids' Fun Run (ages 12 and younger, .75 miles) begins at 2 pm and the 5K (3.1 miles) begins at 2:15 pm. Participants are encouraged to arrive at least one hour before their start time. Please note: road closures associated with this event. Closures begin as early as noon and end as late as 4 pm on Sunday, November 17. Free parking for this event is available in LP Field Lot F. Also, Nashville MTA will provide free transportation on all buses for participants traveling to and from the 5K event.

Tootsies 53rd Birthday Bash

Tootsies Orchid Lounge will celebrate its 53rd birthday in downtown Nashville with a Broadway street party hosted by Great American Country (GAC) personality Storme Warren. The annual party will be the kick-off event celebrating the George Jones’ tribute concert, which takes place Friday, November 22 at Bridgestone Arena. As part of the celebration, Tootsies is extending their annual birthday bash to a two-day event with entertainment on the outdoor Broadway stage on both nights. Performers include Terri Clark, Troy Gentry, Darryl Worley, Daryle Singletary and more. Note: Broadway will be closed between 4th and 5th Avenues in conjunction with this event. Closures begin at 11 pm on Wednesday, November 20 and end at 5 am on Saturday, November 23.

Road Closures for Titans' Game on Thursday Night
Road closures begin at 4:45 pm Thursday, November 14 for the Titans’ home game! Downtown employees are encouraged to seek alternate routes for their afternoon commute. Use the online map and check out the full list of closures.
