Re-opened: Chick-fil-A!
333 Commerce Street. 615-742-0261. Chick-fil-A now offers several new menu items in addition to its previous offerings. New menu items include the spicy chicken sandwich, spicy chicken biscuits and grilled chicken nuggets. Plus, its recent kitchen upgrade and complete re-design of the customer area allow more counter space and faster service. Hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 7 am - 2 pm.


Union Street Road Closures
Union Street (4th Avenue North to 5th Avenue North) will be closed until Saturday, February 15. Plus, Union Street (7th Avenue North to Capitol Boulevard) will be closed until Saturday, February 15 due to continued construction at the Sheraton Nashville Downtown Hotel.

Amp Public Forum

 

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 6 PM - 7 PM
LOCATION: NASHVILLE ENTREPRENEUR CENTER FREE

The Nashville Scene will moderate a public forum to discuss Amp, the proposed 7.1-mile bus rapid transit system that would run from the St. Thomas Hospital area in West Nashville to Five Points in East Nashville.

 

Nashville Predators Winter Wonderland

 

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 13 - SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 6 PM - 10 PM
LOCATION: BRIDGESTONE ARENA FREE

For six nights during the two-week Olympic break, the Nashville Predators will transform the Bridgestone Arena Rehearsal Hall into a Winter Wonderland. Activities include curling, shot on net, Olympic viewing parties, cornhole and more. All fans in attendance can register to win a free pair of tickets to upcoming Bridgestone Arena shows or Nashville Predators home games, every hour on the hour. Valentine's Especialidad

In honor of Valentine's Day, Cantina Laredo is offering a special three-course menu between Thursday, February 13 and Saturday, February 15. Menu items include sautéed shrimp with spicy mango mole sauce, filet mignon topped with black peppercorn dijon, churros drizzled with chocolate raspberry sauce and more. The Listening Room Cafe is offering two days of Valentine's celebrations including a special four-course menu with wine and drink pairings. Rick Springfield will play the Wildhorse Saloon for a special, two-night engagement over Valentine's weekend. Springfield, an Australian musician and actor, was a member of the pop-rock group Zoot from 1969 to 1971 before beginning a solo career. His solo successes include two U.S. Top 10 albums and a Grammy Award for the 1981 hit "Jessie's Girl."

 

Nashville Ballet's "Attitude"

Nashville Ballet’s annual production of "Attitude" combines contemporary dance from three cutting-edge choreographers with live music from respected, local artists to create an evening of innovative art. Company dancer Christopher Stuart will showcase an original ballet set to the iconic music of Johnny Cash reimagined by Sugar & The Hi Lows. Brian Enos' 2012 piece, "And Legions Will Rise," will be set to music by Kevin Puts played live by Alias Chamber Ensemble. Plus, Nashville Ballet Artistic Director and CEO Paul Vasterling's piece, "Time/Return/Memory," will be performed to a solo piano score adapted from Philip Glass' "Orphée Suite."

 

Valentine's with Kenny Rogers & the Nashville Symphony

Join Kenny Rogers as he celebrates the most romantic day of the year with the Grammy Award-winning Nashville Symphony. With 50 plus years in show business, Rogers has sold more than 120 million records worldwide, has recorded more than 65 albums and was recently inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

 

Hot Chocolate Run

 

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 5K: 7 AM; 15K: 7:55 AM
LOCATION: BICENTENNIAL MALL 5K: $45; 15K: $69

The Hot Chocolate Run features both a 5K (3.1 mile) and 15K (9.3 mile) course. Participants will receive a goodie bag featuring a his or hers zip pullover made of wicking fleece material. Following the race, celebrate with complimentary hot chocolate and fondue. Proceeds benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Nashville, which provides essential resources and a "home away from home" for families of critically ill children receiving inpatient or outpatient medical care at area hospitals. Note: road closures associated with this event. Major downtown closures include James Robertson Parkway (5th Avenue to Church), Rosa Parks Boulevard (Church to Broadway) and Broadway (Rosa Parks Boulevard to 9th Avenue). Closures begin as early as 6 am and end as late as noon on Saturday, February 15. Black History Month Luncheon
