Nashville Film Festival


FRIDAY, APRIL 18 - SATURDAY, APRIL 26, TIMES VARY BY DATE

Nashville Film Festival is an annual event celebrating the diversity of the human spirit through film. Its downtown location at Walk of Fame Park will feature a free film every night, happy hour short films, live music, vendors and more! Click here for a complete schedule of events.

 

Easter Egg Pub Hop

 

SATURDAY, APRIL 19, 2 PM - 6 PM
LOCATION: BOOTLEGGERS INN FREE TO ATTEND

The Easter Egg Pub Hop begins at Bootleggers Inn and continues to five downtown stops, ending at Silver Dollar Saloon. Enjoy drink specials and participate in a massive Easter Egg Hunt. Plus, prizes at each stop, Yazoo specials and a cash prize for best costume.

 

Tap 'n' Run 4K

 

SATURDAY, APRIL 19, 5 PM
LOCATION: THE DISTRICT $55

Tap 'n' Run includes a hilarious 4K running race (with three beer "chug stations" along the course), a costume contest and post-race festivities. All registrants who complete the race will receive a complimentary beer at the finish line, a finisher's medal, a commemorative t-shirt, plus more. 
Note: road closures associated with this event. Closures include 2nd Avenue North (Church Street to Broadway), Broadway (2nd Avenue to 3rd Avenue), Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge, surrounding LP Field streets, Woodland Street (South 2nd Street to Union Street), Union Street (1st Avenue North to Printers Alley), Printers Alley (Union Street to Church Street) and Church Street (Printers Alley to 2nd Avenue North). Most closures begin as early as 4:30 pm and end as late as 6:30 pm on Saturday, April 19. Two streets will be closed for a longer period of time: 2nd Avenue North (Church Street to Commerce Street) and Church Street (1st Avenue North to 2nd Avenue North) will be closed from 9 am - 9 pm on Saturday, April 19. Click here for the complete route.

 

Holy Week at Christ Church Cathedral

 

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 16 - SUNDAY, APRIL 20, TIMES VARY BY DATE
LOCATION: CHRIST CHURCH CATHEDRAL FREE

Holy Week services include Tenebrae on Wednesday at 6 pm, Maundy Thursday Holy Eucharist with foot-washing and stripping of the altar at 6 pm, and Good Friday service at noon. Plus, Holy Saturday liturgy at 10 am and Easter Eve service at 7 pm. Easter Sunday Holy Eucharist services at 7 am, 8:30 am and 11 am.

 

Holy Week at McKendree

 

THURSDAY, APRIL 17 - SUNDAY, APRIL 20, TIMES VARY BY DATE
LOCATION: MCKENDREE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH FREE

Maundy Thursday service at 6:30 pm. Two Good Friday service options: a noon service and an evening worship at 6:30 pm. Easter worship celebrations on Sunday at 9 am and 11 am. Childcare available for the 6:30 pm services.

 

Holy Week at St. Mary's Catholic Church

 

THURSDAY, APRIL 17 - SUNDAY, APRIL 20, TIMES VARY BY DATE
LOCATION: ST. MARY'S CATHOLIC CHURCH FREE

Holy Thursday Mass at 7 pm followed by Eucharist Adoration until midnight. Good Friday service at 3 pm. Easter Vigil Mass on Saturday at 7:30 pm. Mass on Easter Sunday at 9 am.

 

Holy Week at First Lutheran Church

 

THURSDAY, APRIL 17 - SUNDAY, APRIL 20, TIMES VARY BY DATE
LOCATION: FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH ELCA FREE

Maundy Thursday service at 7 pm. Good Friday worship services at noon and 7 pm. Easter Sunday's schedule includes Holy Communion at 7 am and 10:30 am. Plus, breakfast on Easter morning beginning at 9 am. The children's choir will perform during the meal. Free parking provided in the lot at the corner of 8th Avenue S and McGavock.
 

Easter at First Baptist

 

SUNDAY, APRIL 20, SERVICE 10:30 AM
LOCATION: FIRST BAPTIST NASHVILLE FREE

Easter morning worship at 10:30 am. Plus, The Service of Word & Table at 8:15 am and Bible Study at 9 am.

 

Easter at Downtown Presbyterian Church

 

SUNDAY, APRIL 20, SERVICE 11 AM
LOCATION: DOWNTOWN PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH FREE

Easter service at 11 am. Congregational breakfast will be served at 9 am. Plus, an indoor children's Easter Egg Hunt will begin at 10:15 am. Free parking at 501 Church Street for DPC attendees between 7 am - 1 pm.

Kitchen Notes, located inside Omni Nashville Hotel, will offer an Easter brunch buffet from 9:30 am - 2 pm. Join the fight against HIV/AIDS while celebrating food, friends and the community during the 12th Annual Dining Out For Life. On Tuesday, April 22, the following restaurants will donate 30% or more of your bill to Nashville Cares. Participating downtown restaurants include 417 Union Restaurant & Bar, City Fire American Oven & Bar, Etch, The Farm House, Fleet Street Pub, Flyte World Dining and Wine, Husk, Kitchen Notes, M. Restaurant and Bar, The Melting Pot, Nuvo Burrito, Provence Breads & Cafe, The Pub Nashville, Puckett's Gro. & Restaurant, Rumours Wine Bar, St. Anejo, Salsa and Virago. Picnic in the Park
