Events This Week


Union Station Hotel/Hilton Nashville Downtown Job Fair



Both Union Station Hotel and Hilton Nashville Downtown will conduct interviews for full-time and part-time hourly positions in audit, guest service, housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, accounting, sales, and food and beverage. No appointment necessary. Valet parking provided. Interviews will be held in Union Station Hotel's McKinley Room on Thursday, May 15 and Hilton Nashville Downtown's Bredesen Room on Friday, May 16 for positions in each respective hotel.


National Bike to Work Day


FRIDAY, MAY 16, 7:45 AM

Bikers across Nashville will commute to downtown and meet at Public Square for free breakfast and coffee. No registration required. Mayor Karl Dean will bike into this event and speak to the crowd. Use the interactive map of meeting points and times to bike in with others. Don't own a bike? Use Nashville B-cycle to ride to work. Everyone is encouraged to use alternative transportation to get to work on Friday!


Goodguys 9th Nashville Nationals Giant Car Show



This event showcases more than 2,500 candy-colored '72 and earlier hot rods, custom cars, muscle cars, trucks and classics. Plus, vendor and sponsor exhibits, a swap meet, cars for sale corral, the Goodguys AutoCross, live music and more! Click here to purchase tickets.


Music Nights at The Hermitage Hotel


FRIDAY, MAY 16, 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Enjoy Music Nights at The Hermitage Hotel, a twice monthly event held in the hotel's Performing Arts Suite. The series will feature the musical stylings of Americana band Sheriff Scott and the Deputies. Plus, the Oak Bar at The Hermitage Hotel will offer happy hour specials as well as unique cocktails created just for these evenings. Click here for a complete list of upcoming shows.


Margarita Festival


FRIDAY, MAY 16, 6 PM - 9 PM

Join the Nashville Scene for its third annual Margarita Festival. Enjoy bites from your favorite Gulch restaurants and sample drinks from some of the city's best margarita makers. Vote for your favorite and a winner will be crowned at the end of the festival. The event will take place on Pine Street and 11th Avenue South. Click here to purchase tickets.


Night Market Kick-Off Celebration



Night Market returns to Nashville Farmers' Market on Friday, May 16 and kicks off a full weekend of events to celebrate the arrival of peak season! The evening will feature shopping, wine and beer from the cash bar, live music, artisan and food vendor booths, and more. All market house restaurants and shops will be open. Plus, Saturday, May 17 will be a "food-focused" day with chef demonstrations, music, merchants and fun for all ages. Sunday, May 18 will conclude the weekend's festivities with a garden, crafts and flea market-finds day featuring the best in seasonal and community offerings. Hear the Music: Speakeasy Soirée


FRIDAY, MAY 16, 7 PM - 11 PM

Join Song for Sound's Speakeasy Soirée! The event includes blackjack, live music by The Warren Brothers, Lance Miller and Andrew Pates, all-inclusive cuisine and cocktails, and more! Proceeds benefit the organization's mission of providing hearing technology to deaf children in Middle Tennessee.


Fight For Air Walk




The Fight For Air Walk gives you the power to improve the air we breathe. Proceeds help raise funds for programs, advocacy and research for the American Lung Association. Festivities include a performance by Katelyn Pope and Mary Grace Williams, a children's play area, food and more. Two walk options available: a traditional 5K and a shorter fun walk. The event is free for participants, but donations are encouraged. Start and finish line in Public Square. Note: roads will not close for this walk, although certain intersections will be closed temporarily when walkers pass through. Rolling intersection closures will begin as early as 10 am and end as late as 11 am on Saturday, May 17. Click here to register in advance.


Gulch Groove


SATURDAY, MAY 17, 4 PM - 10 PM

Nashville's newest summer block party will feature live music, food from local restaurants and trucks, and a great beer selection. Tickets include two free beers and admission to four live shows. Gulch Groove will take place on the third Saturday of every month through August on Gleaves Street and 9th Avenue South. Note: road closures associated with this event. Gleaves Street (8th Avenue South to 9th Avenue South) and 9th Avenue South (Division Street to Gleaves Street) will be closed as early as 6 am on Saturday, May 17 to as late as 2 am on Sunday, May 18.


Free Art Museum Day


SUNDAY, MAY 18, 1 PM - 5:30 PM

Enjoy free admission to the Frist Center for the Visual Arts in celebration of the Association of Art Museum Directors’ fifth annual Art Museum Day. Spend the day exploring gallery exhibitions and several programs including a docent-guided tour of two exhibits, family-friendly art workshops and more.


Eastertide Choral Evensong & Organ Concert


SUNDAY, MAY 18, 3:30 PM - 5 PM

Dr. Crista Miller, organist at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Houston, Texas, will perform a free organ concert at Christ Church Cathedral. The concert will be followed by an Eastertide Choral Evensong sung by the Cathedral Choir under the direction of Dr. Michael Velting, canon for music. Jon Johnson, associate organist and choirmaster, will accompany on organ.


CMT Hot 20 Countdown: Studio Audience Opportunity


TUESDAY, MAY 20, 8:30 AM - 4 PM

Be a part of the audience for CMT's Hot 20 Countdown. Two segments: 8:30 am to noon and 12:30 pm to 4 pm. RSVP to come to either segment or both. Attire for this event is "country concert." No sequins, logos, brand names, bright colors or handbags. Lunch is usually provided for those who stay for both segments. Ages 18 and up.


Music City Center's One Year Anniversary


TUESDAY, MAY 20, 11:30 AM - 1 PM

Tuesday, May 20 marks the one year anniversary of Music City Center! Join the festivities with complimentary cake and refreshments on the 5th Avenue Terrace.


Picnic in the Park


WEDNESDAY, MAY 21, 11 AM - 1:30 PM

Plan ahead and visit Church Street Park on your lunch break to enjoy a picnic in the park! Live music by The Nashville Collegian Orchestra beginning at 11:30 am. Plus, food available for purchase from local food trucks from 11 am - 1:30 pm. Or, bring your own lunch and enjoy eating outdoors while listening to great live music. Shaded tables and chairs will be set up for this event.
