Plan out your month with activities all located in the heart of Music City! Our online events calendar, a comprehensive list of everything happening downtown, is available so you can always know what is going on. From festivals to who is playing on Lower Broadway, it has everything you need to know. Events This Week
The Nashville Farmers' Market and Grow Local Kitchen will host a potluck dinner to help celebrate the "Third Thursday Community Potluck Cookbook" by Nancy Vienneau. Bring a meat, veggie, or dessert and a beverage of choice and join the fun! The cookbook focuses on seasonal cooking: each chapter features a different month with its own story and menu. A portion of the book sales will go to the Community Food Advocates, an organization that strives to provide access to healthy and affordable food to everyone. A book signing by author Nancy Vienneau will also take place.

Nashville Dancin' presented by Dollar General brings local and national artists to the stage for this free summer concert series. Nashville Dancin' will be held every Thursday through July 31. Riverfront Park's grassy slopes provide natural stadium seating for all to enjoy the live music. Plus, a variety of local food trucks will be on-site. The lineup for Thursday, June 19 includes Xavier Rudd, The Main Squeeze, Ash Grunwald and Ray Scott. Gates open at 5 pm and the music begins at 6 pm.

Watch your favorite restaurants battle it out in a burger competition to see who will be the 2014 Burger Champion. Taste all the burgers and meet some of Nashville's top chefs all for only $20! Plus, vote on who you think has the best burger while enjoying a Goose Island brew. Some of the participating restaurants include Bar Louie, Burger Republic, Hard Rock Cafe, Kitchen Notes, Whiskey Kitchen and more.

One of the most iconic entertainment destinations in downtown is turning twenty years old! The once 66,000 square foot warehouse, now three-story restaurant, bar and music venue has become one of the most trafficked locations in downtown over its twenty year history. Boasting more than 1.5 million visitors annually, the Wildhorse Saloon has changed the face of 2nd Avenue. The anniversary concert features artists who got their start on the Wildhorse stage. Lonestar, Trick Pony and Ricochet will put on a show to celebrate the place that has become a true Nashville treasure.

On Friday, June 20 from 11 am to 5 pm the CMT summer interns will be hosting a lemonade stand outside of their office doors on 330 Commerce Street as a fundraiser for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. This organization raises awareness and funding for childhood cancer research.
Enjoy shopping, wine from the cash bar, live music, artisan booths, kids' activities and much more at this event held on the third Friday of each month. Market House restaurants and shops will be open. Vendors in the farm sheds will sell local produce, meat, cheese, plants and more!

Join Nashville City Club for its second annual bourbon and whiskey tasting event! Experts in the field will present more than 20 different bourbons and whiskeys. Plus, a heavy selection of hors d'oeuvres specifically created to complement the tastings. RSVP in advance by email or call 615-620-1328.

LOCATION: LP FIELD $30 IN ADVANCE; $35 DAY OF RACE; FREE CHILDREN 10 & UNDER
The 5K run begins at 8 am and will be followed by the kids' fun run at 9 am. After the races, there will be live music, a fun festival and kids' zone with free activities located in LP Field Lot T (at Victory Avenue). Note: road closures associated with this event. Closures include the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge, 3rd Avenue South (Symphony Place to Demonbreun) and Demonbreun (3rd Avenue South to 16th Avenue South). The 12th annual Nissan Taste of Music City is Nashville's largest food and drink festival. Enjoy food, wine and beer with a focus on local flavors. Plus, live music on the main stage. Tickets include all food and beverages.

The 14th Annual Jefferson Street Jazz and Blues Festival is a daylong event that showcases national and local jazz and blues musicians as well as celebrates the musical heritage of Jefferson Street. Performers include Denise Lasalle, Third Coast Jazz, Karlton Taylor Trio, After 5 Tux and many more! The event is organized and sponsored by the Jefferson Street United Merchants Partnership – J.U.M.P. Kick off the festival by attending the Bridging the Gap Mixer on the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge on Friday, June 20.

Make Music Nashville is an all-day, open-access, free festival taking place in various neighborhoods in Nashville on June 21, 2014. Participation is encouraged from all ages, music genres and abilities. Indie rock to bluegrass to a cappella, music students to professional artists and everything in between, every one is encouraged to take part! Ring in the summer solstice as part of an international event with its heart and soul in the local community! An original copy of the Declaration of Independence will be on display at the Nashville Public Library on Saturday, June 21, in partnership with the Tennessee State Library Archives Friends Group and Museum of the American Revolution. The Declaration is one of only two copies made directly from the original Declaration of Independence in the latter half of the 19th century. The public will be welcome to view the Declaration and hear presentations from Tom Lingenfelter, a dealer in rare historical documents and artifacts, who discovered this copy at a garage sale more than 20 years ago.

Plan ahead to visit Church Street Park on your lunch break and enjoy a picnic in the park! Live entertainment beginning at 11:30 am by DancEast Workshop. Plus, food available for purchase from Smoke Et Al, Gigi's Cupcakes and Jay's Chicago from 11 am - 1:30 pm. Or, bring your own lunch and enjoy eating outdoors while listening to great live music. Shaded tables and chairs will be set up for this event.
