The Southern Belle Festival Dinner Show will showcase the talents of some of Nashville’s greatest stars in music, comedy and the arts. Plus, tickets include a special dinner buffet. Proceeds benefit Operation Stand Down, a nonprofit focused on addressing homelessness and job placement for military veterans.

The evening will begin with a happy hour and visual art exhibit followed by performances from spoken word artists and breakdancing troupes. Proceeds support the National Museum of African American Music, the W.O. Smith Music School and Southern Word. Plus, some proceeds will go toward scholarships for students at Tennessee State University.

Visit Wizard World Nashville Comic Con to see stars like William Shatner, Eliza Dushku, Michael Rooker and more! A first-class lineup of topical programming takes place all three days including celebrity Q&As, the Wizard World Film Festival, comics-themed sessions, costume contest, movie screenings, evening parties and more. Sunday is Kids Day, with an array of activities and programming especially designed for younger fans. Wizard World Nashville Comic Con is also the place for cosplay, with fans young and old showing off their best costumes throughout the weekend. Children ten and under get in free when accompanied by a paid adult (limit two children per paid adult ticket).
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 7 AM
LOCATION: WALK OF FAME PARK HALF MARATHON: $125; 5K: $55
This fifth annual Women's Running Half Marathon & 5K starts and finishes in front of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum with a course covering the best of Nashville. Each registered individual must pick up her own race packet at the Health & Fitness Expo at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel on Friday, September 26 between 10 am - 7 pm. Packet pick-up for registered runners includes race number, timing tag and a goodie bag. Registration for the half marathon and 5K is available during the expo and is not available on race day. Please note: road closures associated with this event. Most closures begin at 6 am and are rolling closures. The majority of roads will re-open by 12:30 pm. The JDRF One Walk (previously known as the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes) is a way for attendees to show support for those living with type 1 diabetes (T1D) and raise funds for JDRF, the leading global organization focused on T1D research. The event includes a two-mile family walk, bounce houses, tie dye and hair dye booths, face painting, post-walk snacks and more. Please note: road closures associated with this event. Roads will be closed along this route from as early as 10 am until as late as 12:30 pm on Saturday, September 27.

The Grand Master Fiddler Championship is the premier contest of its kind, with the aim of recognizing the top fiddler in North America. Past winners such as Mark O'Connor and Jimmy Mattingly have had hugely successful recording and touring careers. The public is invited to the Schermerhorn Symphony Center to enjoy free musical performances all day long and into the night. This free day of music will feature more than 20 local ensembles performing in various spaces throughout the building. The music will range from classical to jazz to pop, with the Nashville Symphony headlining the event at noon in Laura Turner Concert Hall. Lightning 100's College Football Saturdays at Pour House Nashville are back! Lightning 100 will broadcast live each week through December 6 from 1 pm - 3 pm as you cheer on your favorite teams. Plus, delicious food, drink specials and giveaways — including the grand prize of two SEC Championship tickets.

Dierks Bentley hosts his ninth annual Miles and Music for Kids celebrity motorcycle ride and benefit concert. Chris Young, Randy Houser, Kip Moore and Jon Pardi will join Bentley on stage. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. Registration for the hour-long motorcycle ride begins at 11 am at Harley Davidson in Columbia, Tennessee. The concert starts at 1:30 pm in Riverfront Park. Downtown Nashville has two grocery stores! H.G. Hill Urban Market (415 Church Street) features produce, a selection of meats, bakery items, groceries and more. Hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 6:30 am - 9 pm and Saturday - Sunday, 8 am - 9 pm. The Turnip Truck Urban Fare (321 12 Avenue S.) offers organic produce, fresh meats and additional groceries. Hours of operation are Monday - Saturday, 8 am - 8 pm and Sunday, 9 am - 8 pm.
