901 Division Street. 615-690-1740. This is the first major hotel located in The Gulch. The Fairfield has 126 guest rooms, which includes 31 suites.

Enjoy a gathering of 15 to 20 local food trucks to celebrate fall! This event takes place every other Thursday through November 13. Trucks will be parked on Deaderick Street between 4th Avenue North and 5th Avenue North.

LOCATION: ROCKETOWN FREE
This after-hours networking event is an opportunity for young professionals to get connected and involved in the Nashville area. Booths will be staffed by members of more than 25 young professional organizations that belong to YP Nashville. Attendees can learn about the benefits and offerings of each organization. Plus, enjoy door prizes and appetizers. Bring business cards.

LOCATION: BICENTENNIAL MALL FREE
Now in its 11th year, the Tennessee History Festival blends education and entertainment, allowing school groups and families to experience the more than 200 years of living Tennessee history. The two-day festival features displays and demonstrations by re-enactors and living history interpreters. School groups are encouraged to visit on Friday, October 17 and must register in advance by calling 615-741-5658.
The final Night Market of the 2014 season! Enjoy shopping, wine from the cash bar, live music, artisan booths, kids' activities and much more. Market House restaurants and shops will be open. Vendors in the farm sheds will sell local produce, meat, cheese, plants and more! This event will feature a pumpkin theme and will kick off a weekend of pumpkin carving, painting and family-friendly activities at the Nashville Farmers' Market.

The Nashville Ballet kicks off its 2014 - 2015 performance season with one of the world’s best known ballets, "Swan Lake." This quintessential, romantic ballet tells the story of a love destined to transcend a sorcerer's curse. Accompanied by the seamless formations of her charmed maidens, the Swan Queen comes to life through choreography by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov and an iconic score by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, performed by the Nashville Symphony.

The Senior Solutions Expo, a first-of-its-kind event, will showcase ways to learn, discover and experience new things while providing “one-stop-shopping” for older adults, their families and their caregivers. The event features free healthcare screenings, healthy cooking demonstrations, musical entertainment, personal consultants on legal advice, financial options and insurance, information on housing options and much more. Free parking provided.
Help Yazoo Brewing Company celebrate its 11th birthday with a full day of festivities! The event includes regular brewery tours from noon - 4 pm, wacky "Yazoo After Dark" tours beginning at 6 pm, specialty beers, food trucks, an outdoor movie screening, giveaways and much more!
The Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum will host its first writers' round in conjunction with Bear House Writer Management, a select group of Belmont University's talented songwriters and managers. Performances by Johnny Murphy, Hunter Leath, Devin Dawson, Hannah Rand and Shawn Gough. A $2 donation will enter you into a raffle to win a pair of tickets to an upcoming show at Marathon Music Works. Plus, museum tour tickets will be 50% off ($10/person). The performance itself is free and open to the public.

Join Party Fowl on Saturday, October 18 as it celebrates its recent grand opening with a free outdoor concert featuring country music legend John Anderson and special guest The Chris Weaver Band. The event will include beer, wine and spirit vendors, outdoor food options and giveaways featuring vacations, signed memorabilia, and gift cards to local venues and restaurants. A percent of the profits will benefit the Phoenix Club of Nashville on behalf of the Boys and Girls Club of Middle Tennessee.

LOCATION: PUBLIC SQUARE 5K: $35; POST-RACE FESTIVAL: $5 - $10
This 5K course is lined with electronic music to pump you up and keep you running to the beat while showing off your brightest and wildest costume. Plus, a finish line festival featuring local bands, a beer garden and more. Festival tickets available for non-race participants for $5 in advance or $10 at the gate.

In celebration of its four-month anniversary, Barre3 is offering a free, 60-minute class outside in Public Square on Sunday, October 19! Registration begins at 2 pm and the class starts at 3 pm. No reservation required. Participants should bring their own yoga mats and water bottles. Plus, the event includes free parking in the UBS Tower and a raffle for Barre3 goodies.

The seventh annual Silver Stars talent competition is an opportunity for an impressive roster of extraordinary seniors to take the stage in Music City for the chance to be crowned Cigna-HealthSpring’s 2014 Silver Star. Ten finalists will compete in front of a live audience and a panel of celebrity judges. This year's judges include Deborah Allen, Robert K. Oerman and Keith Bilbrey. First, second and third-place winners will receive a total of $7,500 in prize money. This event is free and open to the public.

The Nashville LGBT Chamber of Commerce presents Taste. Join more than 400 guests and get a taste of the culinary skills of some of Nashville's most talented chefs and finest restaurants. The area's best bars and mixologists will serve signature cocktails and compete for awards. Plus, live music, a silent auction and access to the museum. VIP tickets include early admission, an exclusive lounge with a bar and bites, and autograph and photo opportunities with honorary guests.

The 2014 Operation Troop Aid Block Party will take place on Broadway between 3rd Avenue and 5th Avenue. Support our troops while celebrating the life of Lynyrd Skynyrd's Ronnie Van Zant as well as Steve and Cassie Gains on the 37th anniversary of their passing. Jimmie Van Zant and an array of special guests including Sal Gonzalez, Ryan Weaver, Daniel Dean and Jonathan Wells will perform the sights and sounds of Lynyrd Skynyrd. Please note: road closures associated with this event. Broadway (3rd Avenue to 5th Avenue) will be closed from 8 am on Monday, October 20 until 3 am on Tuesday, October 21.
Join First Baptist Nashville for Food Truck Tuesdays. Trucks will be stationed at 7th Avenue South and Demonbreun, facing the Music City Center. Seating available. The event will take place every Tuesday through the month of October. Trucks scheduled for Tuesday, October 21 include Bare Naked Bagel, Two Guys in a Lunchbox, Music City Pie and Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams.
