Free Financial Fitness Friday

 

FRIDAY, JANUARY 30, 8:30 AM - 5 PM
LOCATION: REGIONS BANK FREE

Visit Regions Bank on Friday, January 30 for Financial Fitness Friday. Participants will watch fun and informative financial "workout" videos and talk with experts about budgeting, buying a home or car, managing debt and savings. This event is free and open to the public, whether or not you are a Regions customer.

 

Antiques & Garden Show of Nashville

 

FRIDAY, JANUARY 30 - SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 1, FRIDAY AND SATURDAY: 10 AM - 7 PM; SUNDAY: 11 AM - 4 PM
LOCATION: MUSIC CITY CENTER $15 IN ADVANCE; $20 AT THE DOOR; AGES 12 & UNDER FREE

Celebrating its 25th year, the Antiques and Garden Show of Nashville brings together nationally and internationally renowned experts and exhibitors in the fields of antiques, decorative arts and landscape design. The show is the largest of its kind in the country, offering more than 150 antique stations, horticultural booths and landscaped gardens. This year's keynote speaker is Diane Keaton. Goo Goo Shop Grand Opening

 

FRIDAY, JANUARY 30 - SATURDAY, JANUARY 31, 10:30 AM - 7 PM
LOCATION: GOO GOO SHOP FREE

Join the Goo Goo Shop for its grand opening celebration on both Friday, January 30 and Saturday, January 31. The shop opened as a smaller, pop-up retail store last summer and is now unveiling its expanded space. The official ribbon cutting ceremony will be on Friday, January 30 at 10:30 am. Grand opening celebration activities include raffles, discounts, samples and more. The first 25 customers to make a purchase each day will receive a free Premium Goo Goo each month for a year.

 

Roger Waters presents Ça Ira

 

FRIDAY, JANUARY 30, 8 PM
LOCATION: SCHERMERHORN SYMPHONY CENTER $30 - $130

Rogers Waters, the creative force behind Pink Floyd, will hold the the U.S. premiere of "Ça Ira" on Friday, January 30 at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center. His classical opera is set during the French Revolution and evokes the passion, faith and madness of a time that forever changed the world. Featuring Waters' spoken narration, this epic piece of music is scored for full orchestra, four solo voices, chorus and children's chorus.

 

Fashion for a Fraction

The Countdown to Kickoff

Spend Super Bowl Sunday at Acme Feed & Seed. Festivities include drink specials, live music, and pre and post-game rooftop dance parties. The game will be on display on the first and second floors as well as the rooftop. Plus, RSVP to win a VIP game-time experience. Reserved booth seating also available with a dedicated TV, personal server and a snack spread for ten.

Inspired by a true story, "Kinky Boots" features a Tony-winning score by Cyndi Lauper, direction and Tony-winning choreography by Jerry Mitchell, and a hilarious, uplifting story by four-time Tony winner Harvey Fierstein.

 

Trattoria Il Mulino Job Fair

Trattoria Il Mulino, the restaurant concept from iconic Il Mulino New York, is coming soon to the Hilton Nashville Downtown. The restaurant is hosting a job fair for professionals in the hospitality and restaurant fields. Available positions include servers, hosts, cooks, sommelier, sous chefs, bartenders, managers and an event coordinator. On-site hiring available.

Cheap Parking Options

Park for only $3 weeknights after 6 pm and all day Saturday or Sunday at the Metro Courthouse Garage. Or, pay only $5 after 5 pm on weeknights or all day Saturday or Sunday at the Library Garage.
