Now open for lunch: Chauhan Ale & Masala House!
Chauhan has added lunch to their offerings. Open for lunch, Monday - Friday, 11 am - 2:30 pm and open for dinner Monday - Thursday, 5 pm - 10 pm; Friday - Saturday, 5 pm - 11 pm; and Sunday, 5 pm - 10 pm. Chauhan Ale & Masala House combines both traditional Indian and Southern cuisine to create a unique, modern dining experience.

Tom Paxton & Friends

LOCATION: CARTER VINTAGE GUITARS $15 SUGGESTED DONATION

Folk music legend Tom Paxton will premiere songs from his new CD onstage at Carter Vintage Guitars along with songwriters Jon Vezner and Don Henry. Plus, virtuoso Celtic guitarist and mandolinist Robin Bulloch will join. Attendees are welcome to bring their own beverages to this event.

 

Street Food Thursdays

 

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 10 AM - 2:30 PM

Enjoy a gathering of 15 to 20 local food trucks parked along Deaderick Street between 4th Avenue North and 5th Avenue North. This event will also take place on Thursday, February 19, depending on weather.

The Listening Room Cafe's Birthday Bash

Fight for Air Climb

 

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 9 AM - NOON
LOCATION: TENNESSEE TOWER $25 REGISTRATION FEE + $100 FUNDRAISING REQUIREMENT

Join the 2015 Fight for Air Climb, a unique fundraising event to benefit the American Lung Association. Participants will climb 28 floors in the Tennessee Tower for a total of 686 stairs. All ages and fitness levels are welcome. Funds will go toward American Lung Association's lifesaving education, research and advocacy efforts.

 

Forum with Nashville Mayoral Candidates

 

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 3 PM
LOCATION: CHRIST CHURCH CATHEDRAL FREE

Christ Church Cathedral will host a mayoral forum on Sunday, February 8. The forum will begin with candidates' responses to a prompt from the forum steering committee. Candidates will then be asked pre-selected questions submitted by forum attendees. Plus, the candidates will be available for 30 minutes for individual or small group conversation and follow-up. This event is free and open to the public.

 

Nashville Chili Festival

 

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 8, NOON - 3 PM
LOCATION: YAZOO BREWING COMPANY AND TAPROOM $15 GENERAL ADMISSION; $35 ADMISSION AND DRINK PACKAGE

Spend the afternoon sampling chili and find out who makes the best one in Nashville. Want to enter the contest for yourself? Click here to enter. Plus, the event will include live music, children's activities, a pepper eating contest, great Yazoo beer and more. A $35 package is also available including admission and four Yazoo beer tickets.

 

Gateway Chamber Orchestra presents Romantic Visions

The Gateway Chamber Orchestra brings to the stage its largest revival yet with Mendelssohn’s masterful "Scottish Symphony." Plus, Mozart’s youthful "Symphony No. 32" will set the stage for the energetic and hypnotic string writing in "Visions and Miracles" by Grammy-nominated American composer Christopher Theofanidis. CMT Hot 20 Countdown: Studio Audience Opportunity

Be a part of the audience for CMT's "Hot 20 Countdown." Two segments: 9 am and 1 pm. Attendees are encouraged to arrive one hour before show time. RSVP to come to either segment or both. Attire for this event is "country concert." No sequins, logos, brand names, bright colors (white, pink or yellow) or handbags. Lunch is usually provided for those who stay for both segments. Samantha Shannon will visit the Nashville Public Library to discuss her latest book, "The Mime Order." This is the follow up to 2013's "The Bone Season." The series follows Paige Mahoney, a 19-year-old with clairvoyant power, set in the future year of 2059 in London. A book signing will follow.

 

Nashville Fashion Week: Kickoff Party

Nashville Fashion Week's Kickoff Party celebrates the launch of Nashville Fashion Week 2015, which will return for its fifth year April 7-11. The kickoff will feature drinks and bites as well as the announcement of the 2014 Nashville Fashion Forward Fund recipient. 

 

Sports Illustrated 2015 Swimsuit Issue Celebration: Swimville

 

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 11 - THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 11 AM - 5 PM
LOCATION: THE DISTRICT FREE

Enjoy an unprecedented two days of fan events and musical performances in celebration of the 2015 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit launch! On Wednesday, February 11 and Thursday, February 12, Broadway between 4th Avenue and 5th Avenue will be tented for Swimville. The event will feature free live music from Moon Taxi, The Weeks, Holly Williams, Will Hoge, Chris Young, Sugar and the Hi-Lows, Rayland Baxter, The Ettes and more. Plus, exhibits, model appearances, and food trucks. Also, Kings of Leon and Mikky Ekko will perform at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center on February 11 in association with the event. Due to the overwhelming demand and limited ticket availability, tickets for the show are only available via lottery through Kings of Leon fan channels. Please note: road closures associated with this event. Closures include Broadway from 3rd to 5th Avenues.
