New restaurant: Trattoria Il Mulino!
144 5th Avenue South. 615-620-3700. This new restaurant at the Hilton Nashville Downtown is now open for lunch and dinner! The iconic New York-based Il Mulino restaurant brand offers an energizing Italian fine-dining experience. Featuring a fantastic patio, too. Hours of operation are Monday - Thursday, 11 am - 2 pm, 5 pm - 10 pm; Friday, 11 am - 2 pm, 5 pm - 11 pm; Saturday, 5 pm - 11 pm; and Sunday, 5 pm - 10 pm.

Holy Week services include Tenebrae on Wednesday at 6 pm, Maundy Thursday Holy Eucharist with foot-washing and stripping of the altar at 6 pm, and Good Friday service at noon. MTA Strategic Plan Meeting

The Nashville Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) will kick off the first phase of a year-long strategic planning process with a round of community meetings on Tuesday, April 7. Downtown's meeting will take place at the Nashville Public Library from 11:30 am - 1 pm and will feature an overview of the process and an interactive session with participants' feedback. This will be the first of a series of three large community meetings to be held in the next year. CityThink: Rethinking The Loop

Join a discussion about downtown Nashville's interstate and the potential for new open space during this breakfast session. Jim Burnett will focus on his firm's work on Klyde Warren Park in Dallas, Texas, which began in 2002 when a walk across one of the Woodall Rodgers Freeway bridges became the genesis of a study to evaluate the feasibility of capping the freeway. Burnett will share the vision, process, design, financing, structural considerations, partnerships and challenges the team faced.

 

Iron Fork

The Nashville Scene presents the eighth annual Iron Fork! This event showcases four of Nashville's best local chefs battling it out in a head-to-head competition that will be judged by top local "foodies" and celebrities. Tickets for the Downtown Home Tour are available. Tour tickets are $10 (ages 17 and under are free). Twelve residential buildings are featured on our 12th annual tour on Sunday, April 12.
