12th Annual Downtown Home Tour

SUNDAY, APRIL 12, 1 PM - 6 PM

Catch a behind-the-scenes tour of downtown living at our 12th Annual Downtown Home Tour! Gather home decor ideas, see amazing views, shop for condos and get an idea of what it's like to live downtown during the self-guided tour. This year’s tour showcases living spaces within older, historic and rehabbed residential buildings. Get an exclusive look at private residences, live/work units, rental units and for sale properties within the city’s downtown core. Click here for general tour information, free parking info and more. When you purchase your ticket, you will receive a tour map and brochure to help you plan your route. Come early and make a day of it downtown! Several businesses are offering special promotions the day of the home tour. Purchase tickets ($10) in advance or on the day of the tour at the Nashville Downtown Partnership beginning at 12:45 pm.

Nashville Fashion Week

THROUGH SATURDAY, APRIL 11, EVENT TIMES VARY BY DATE

Nashville Fashion Week is a city-wide celebration of Nashville's thriving fashion and retail community and its vast array of creative talent—featuring local, regional and national design talent in fashion events and shows. Downtown events include Accessories as Art installation and cocktail party at The Cordelle on Wednesday, April 8, a runway show on the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge on Friday, April 10, fashion and technology industry panels at City Winery on Saturday, April 11 and the Nashville Fashion Forward Gala at The Rosewall on Saturday, April 11. Nashville Startup Weekend

 

FRIDAY, APRIL 10 - SUNDAY, APRIL 12, FRIDAY: 6:30 PM; SATURDAY AND SUNDAY: 9 AM
LOCATION: NASHVILLE ENTREPRENEUR CENTER $59 - $99

Nashville Startup Weekend is a three-day event in which developers, entrepreneurs and designers scramble to build a viable startup business over a 54-hour period. Held at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center, teams will be coached, mentored and judged by some of city's brightest business minds.

 

5th Annual NRA Country Jam

 

FRIDAY, APRIL 10, 6 PM - 11 PM

Hank Williams Jr. and Colt Ford will light up lower Broadway for the 5th Annual NRA Country Jam, presented in association with the 2015 NRA Annual Meetings & Expo. This concert will take place on Broadway between 4th and 6th Avenue and is free and open to the public. Please note: road closures associated with this event. Broadway (5th - 6th Avenue) will be closed from 9:30 am on Thursday, April 9 until 5 am on Saturday, April 11. Broadway (4th - 5th Avenue) and 5th Avenue (Demonbreun - Commerce) will be closed from 10 am on Friday, April 10 until midnight on Saturday, April 11. Broadway (3rd - 4th Avenue) and 4th Avenue (Demonbreun  - Commerce) MAY be closed from 6 pm on Friday, April 10 until midnight on Saturday, April 11 depending on need. Plus, 5th Avenue South (Korean Veterans Boulevard - Demonbreun) will be closed from Tuesday, April 7 until Monday, April 13 for an exhibit-related festival.

 

2015 Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival

 

SATURDAY, APRIL 11, 9 AM - 5 PM
LOCATION: PUBLIC SQUARE FREE

The Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival is a family-friendly celebration of spring and Japanese culture. The festival begins at 9 am with the Cherry Blossom Walk. Festival highlights include a full day of live Japanese music and dance, a roving "Candyman," martial arts demonstrations, children’s activities, artists, vendors and a variety of Japanese cuisine featuring special Japanese menus from some of Nashville’s favorite food trucks. Proceeds benefit the 10-year mission of planting more than 1,000 Japanese cherry trees throughout Nashville each spring.

 

16th Annual Ragin' Cajun Crawfish Boil

 

SATURDAY, APRIL 11, 4 PM - 9 PM
LOCATION: CUMBERLAND PARK $44.95 GENERAL ADMISSION; $75 VIP

The 16th Annual Ragin' Cajun Crawfish Boil is on Saturday, April 11 at Cumberland Park. Tickets include all-you-can-eat crawfish and sides along with all-you-can-drink beer and a full lineup of Nashville's hottest bands. VIP tickets include one hour early entry, access to an air-conditioned VIP bathroom, a separate beer line and a free 22 oz. stein. This annual event is hosted by the Nashville Junior Chamber with proceeds benefiting the Special Olympics of Tennessee.

 

Slow Art Day

 

SATURDAY, APRIL 11, 10 AM - 5:30 PM
LOCATION: FRIST CENTER FOR THE VISUAL ARTS GALLERY ADMISSION REQUIRED

Slow Art Day is a global event with a simple mission: to help more people discover for themselves the joy of appreciating art. On Saturday, April 11, museums and galleries all over the world will encourage visitors to slow down and contemplate several works of art for an extended period of time, with the goal of making new discoveries. Wild West Comedy Festival

 

TUESDAY, APRIL 14 - SUNDAY, APRIL 19

The second annual Wild West Comedy Festival will take place at several venues across Nashville from Tuesday, April 14 - Sunday, April 19. More than 20 comedians will perform including Kevin Hart, Joel McHale, Nick Kroll, John Mulaney and more. Downtown venues include Bridgestone Arena, City Winery, TPAC and Ryman Auditorium.
