New bakery: Village Bakery & Provisions!
Nashville Farmers' Market. 900 Rosa L. Parks Boulevard. 615-498-5385. Chef Sam Tucker, formerly Chef de Cuisine of The 404 Kitchen, has opened this bakery. In addition to fresh baked bread, the shop offers prepared foods including salads, sandwiches and pastries. Hours of operation are Tuesday - Saturday, 11 am - 3 pm and Sunday, noon - 3 pm.

Don't miss this beloved hit that showcases motherhood from four women's perspectives and is relatable to audience members alike.

Wishing Chair’s newest creation pays homage to Tom Tichenor’s first-ever puppet show at the Nashville Public Library in 1938. This colorful show features an original jazzy score by Nashville singer/songwriter Chris Walters. Brand new marionettes created by Wishing Chair will tell the story of a clever cat, an innocent boy and one hungry ogre. This show is presented every Friday and Saturday in May at 9:30 am, 10:30 am and 11:30 am.

The 7th annual Shoney’s 5K Family Fun Run and Festival benefiting the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department will be Saturday, May 9. The 5K will be followed by a kids' fun run. Plus, a post-race festival featuring a breakfast buffet, live music, kids' activities and more! Please note: road closures associated with this event. Closures include the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge, 3rd Avenue South (Symphony Place to Demonbreun) and Demonbreun (3rd Avenue South to 16th Avenue South). Most closures begin at 7:45 am and end at 11 am on Saturday, May 9.
