Enjoy a gathering of up to 20 local food trucks parked along Deaderick Street between 4th Avenue North and 5th Avenue North. This event takes place every other Thursday through the fall.

 

Great Gatsby Art Gala

 

THURSDAY, JULY 9, 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM
LOCATION: ALFRED WILLIAMS & COMPANY FREE

The Great Gatsby Art Gala will feature artwork by Richard Heinsohn, Alex Lockwood and Karen Seapker with guest curator K.J. Schumacher. Plus, food, libations and music.  Gatsby attire encouraged. A portion of the proceeds from art sold will benefit Family Faith Medical Center.

 

Interview & Performance: Trisha Yearwood

Trisha Yearwood’s success helped redefine country music. Her powerful voice and aptitude for finding quality songs led to unprecedented sales for a female country singer’s debut recordings. Record labels reacted by expanding opportunities for women artists in Nashville. Yearwood has broadened her career by acting and co-writing best-selling cookbooks. She will take a break from touring with husband Garth Brooks for this program celebrating the opening of her exhibit, "Trisha Yearwood: The Song Remembers When."

 

Yoga Buzz

Relax, re-energize and find your zen at this popular rooftop yoga series. Sanctuary for Yoga’s talented staff will set up shop on Acme Feed & Seed's rooftop every Friday at 4 pm and Saturday and Sunday at 10 am. Plus, tons of great drink specials to take advantage of after your yoga session.

 

7th Annual All White Affair

LOCATION: MUSIC CITY CENTER $40 - $75

The 7th Annual All White Affair will feature a fashion show, more than 25 bar vendors, music hosted by 101.1 The Beat’s AG & Lizette Love and Flymajor’s Black Rob, and much more. Limited tickets remain for general admission ($40) and VIP ($75).

 

The Glo Run

 

SATURDAY, JULY 11, 8:45 PM
LOCATION: NISSAN STADIUM $50

The Glo Run comes alive with exciting colors and effects, plus music played by DJs along the course that begins and ends at Nissan Stadium (formerly LP Field). Experience this 5K run/walk with extravagant music and lights, all while sporting a glow-in-the-dark shirt and glowing accessories. Please note: road closures associated with this event. Closures include the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge, Symphony Place (1st Avenue South to 4th Avenue South), 4th Avenue South (Symphony Place to Molloy Street), Molloy Street (4th Avenue South to 1st Avenue South), 1st Avenue (Molloy Street to Union Street), Woodland Street (Union Street to South 2nd Street) and surrounding Nissan Stadium streets. Civil Rights Historical Marker Unveiling Ceremony

 

SATURDAY, JULY 11, 3 PM
LOCATION: 5TH AVENUE OF THE ARTS FREE

Join the official unveiling of Civil Rights Historical Marker to identify the downtown locations where student-led lunch counter sit-in demonstrations occurred in the 1960s. Two social justice legends who were leaders during those historic events, Dr. C.T. Vivian and Dr. Bernard Lafayette, will join the ceremony. The unveiling takes place in front of 223 5th Avenue North.

 

Music Industry Day

 

SATURDAY, JULY 11, 10 AM - 4 PM
LOCATION: MUSIC CITY CENTER $10 ADVANCE; $20 AT THE DOOR

Music Industry Day offers musicians, audio pros and those who love music access to National Association of Music Merchants' (NAMM) Summer NAMM event. Network with industry leaders, meet other musicians, attend workshops and try out gear from more than 1,000 music product brands. Plus, live music throughout the day by Dustin Lynch, Tony Lucca, Louisa Wendorff and more. Check out the World's Fastest Drummer Finals while you're there, too. Ticket price also includes admission to the 32nd Annual American Eagle Awards at noon featuring performances by Rosanne Cash, Charley Pride, Jim Lauderdale, Jack Ingram and The Oak Ridge Boys.

 

Battle of the Badges Blood Drive

 

MONDAY, JULY 13, 7:30 AM - 4 PM
LOCATION: NISSAN STADIUM FREE

The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office will partner with the American Red Cross, Metro Nashville Police Department and Nashville Fire Department for the 7th annual Battle of the Badges blood drive. Local first responders will “battle” it out to see who can recruit the most people in their community to donate blood. Plus, special guests T-RAC from the Titans, the Vanderbilt Commodore, Gnash from the Predators, Booster from the Nashville Sounds and the Sheruff mascot will attend.

Brad Thor will visit the Nashville Public Library to discuss his new book, "Code of Conduct: A Thriller," which is the 14th book in his Scot Harvath series. A book signing will follow.

 

Family Program: String City: Nashville's Tradition of Music & Puppetry

 

TUESDAY, JULY 14, 10 AM AND 11:30 AM
LOCATION: COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM FREE

Marionettes, rod puppetry, shadow/animation puppetry and an ever-changing set are used to tell country music history as it relates to Nashville’s transformation into Music City. Experience this exciting true story through more than 50 puppets, ranging from The Staple Singers to Taylor Swift. This original program was created by Wishing Chair Productions, the resident puppet theater company at Nashville Public Library, in collaboration with the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Road Closures: Beachbody Coach Summit

 

WEDNESDAY, JULY 15 - MONDAY, JULY 20

Several road closures are planned throughout downtown for the Beachbody Coach Summit (taking place Thursday, July 16 - Saturday, July 18). Events are not open to the public, but take place at downtown locations including Nissan Stadium, Bridgestone Arena, 5th Avenue, Riverfront Park and Broadway. Expected attendance for events is as many as 23,000 people. Roads and parks begin closing as early as 6 am on Wednesday, July 15 and will re-open no later than noon on Monday, July 20. This list is organized by the date the closures begin. The end date is different for each road and is indicated below. Most parks and roads are closed for multiple days.

Wednesday, July 15:
- Court of Flags (1st Avenue and Broadway) from 6 am on Wednesday, July 15 until noon on Monday, July 20

Thursday, July 16:
- 1st Avenue South (Demonbreun to Church Street) from 9 am on Thursday, July 16 until noon on Sunday, July 19
- Broadway (2nd Avenue to 1st Avenue) from 6 am on Thursday, July 16 until noon on Sunday, July 19
