Street Food Thursdays

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 11 AM - 2 PM

Enjoy a gathering of up to 20 local food trucks parked along Deaderick Street between 4th Avenue North and 5th Avenue North. This event takes place every other Thursday through the fall.

 

Night Market: Celebrate Thanksgiving

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 5 PM - 9 PM
LOCATION: NASHVILLE FARMERS' MARKET FREE

Enjoy shopping, wine from the cash bar, live music, artisan booths, kids' activities and much more at this event held on the third Friday of each month. Market House restaurants and shops will be open. Vendors in the farm sheds will sell local produce, meat, cheese, plants and more. Farmers, food artisans, restaurants and merchants will feature Thanksgiving-themed dishes, items and recipes. Plus, the festivities will continue on Saturday, November 21 with the Best Pie Bake-Off.

 

Collectors Art Night

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 5:30 PM - 8 PM
LOCATION: 5TH AVENUE OF THE ARTS FREE

The final Collectors Arts Night of the year! Enjoy art talks on 5th Avenue of the Arts hosted by Paul Polycarpou, editor of Nashville Arts Magazine. Cocktails will be served at 5:30 pm. Guests will begin at Tinney Contemporary at 6 pm, continue the conversation at The Rymer Gallery at 6:45 pm and finish the evening at The Arts Company at 7:30 pm with photographer Jerry Park. Free valet parking and complimentary refreshments. This event is free, but registration is required. Click here to RSVP.

 

Saint-Saëns' "Egyptian" Piano Concerto

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20 - SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 8 PM
LOCATION: SCHERMERHORN SYMPHONY CENTER $17 - $61

You’ll get visions of pyramids and papyrus when pianist Stephen Hough joins the Nashville Symphony to perform Saint-Saëns’ exotic “Egyptian” Piano Concerto, a lively showpiece that captures the composer’s exciting journeys through the Middle East. The orchestra teams again with American composer Richard Danielpour on his "Toward the Splendid City," an intimate portrait of New York City that will be recorded live in Laura Turner Concert Hall. Iconic Finnish composer Jean Sibelius’ beloved Second Symphony closes the evening with bold and bracing music that has earned deserved comparisons to Beethoven and Tchaikovsky. Plus, a free classical conversation one hour before show time.

 

Mannheim Steamroller Christmas

Grammy Award winner Chip Davis has created a show that features the beloved Christmas music of Mannheim Steamroller along with dazzling multimedia effects performed in an intimate setting. Experience the magic as the spirit of the season comes alive with the signature sound of Mannheim Steamroller.

Sue Grafton will visit the Nashville Public Library to discuss her new book, "X." A limited number of tickets will be available on-site 30 minutes before show time on the event date. Dabble FUNdraiser

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 6 PM - 9 PM
LOCATION: DABBLE STUDIO $30

Paint Nashville's skyline as a night sky, sunset or with your own creative twist—all for a great cause. Bring a bottle of your favorite beverage, or purchase beverages at Dabble. Flatbreads and gourmet cheese plates will also be available for purchase. All skill levels welcome. Proceeds from this class will go to the West Nashville Dream Center of Cross Point Church.

 

Music City Yoga Festival

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 10 AM - 4 PM

The third annual Music City Yoga Festival will be held on Saturday, November 21. The festival is an annual celebration of yoga in the Nashville area. The event features mini yoga sessions taught by some of the city's best local instructors, live music and a marketplace of local vendors—everything from handmade jewelry and clothing to fresh hummus and juice.

 

McKendree UMC & Healthy Tennessee Health Fair

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 10 AM - 1 PM
LOCATION: MCKENDREE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH FREE

This free health fair will include local physicians on-site, free health screenings for all ages and health-focused exhibitors. Plus, blood pressure, height/weight, BMI, heart rate, blood sugar and well child checks.

LOCATION: UNION STATION HOTEL $20 IN ADVANCE; $25 AT THE DOOR (UPON AVAILABILITY)

Join Nashville Lifestyles Magazine for rounds of delicious brunch bites and Bloody Marys from some of the best brunch spots in the city and vote for your favorite. Tickets include one Bloody Mary and bottomless breakfast bites. Participating downtown restaurants include Chauhan Ale & Masala HouseThe Farm HouseKitchen NotesPrimaPrime 108 and The Southern Steak & Oyster. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Mid South Chapter. Valet parking is available but limited (additional pricing for valet).

 

Barrel and Brunch

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 11 AM - 3 PM
LOCATION: ACME FEED & SEED $45

Try barrel-aged beers that have never been available before and may not be again. The event will feature local breweries Czann'sJackalope Brewing Company, Tennessee Brew Works, Yazoo Brewing Company and Taproom, and more. Acme will provide an amazing all-inclusive brunch spread, including a biscuit sandwich bar, crab cakes, fried green tomatoes, and chicken and waffles. This event will raise funds for Pink Boots.

 

Downtown Thanksgiving Lunch

Free Teeth Whitening with Donation to Second Harvest Food Bank

Downtown Dental is joining the fight against hunger by partnering with the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee. During the month of November, bring 25 non-perishable food items to Downtown Dental to receive free custom fit bleaching trays ($350 value). If you already have a tooth whitening kit, bring in 15 non-perishable food items to receive one tube of prescription strength whitening bleach. Puckett's Gro. & Restaurant is offering both take-out and dine-in options for Thanksgiving. The to-go menu includes roasted turkey, smoked or fried; slow-cooked smoked buffet ham; cherry-smoked pulled pork; and smoked racks of baby back ribs; as well as Southern-style sides and homemade pies and cobblers.
