Get ready to “Take It to the Limit,” and relive some of the greatest songs of the ’70s with the Nashville Symphony, conductor Martin Herman and a rock band.

The Johnny Cash Museum will host their annual Johnny Cash Birthday Bash along with the grand opening of the museum's new wing featuring interactive exhibits Friday, February 26 and Saturday, February 27. Fans will be treated to appearances by Johnny Cash's family members and former bandmates in a series of events to celebrate the late singer's 84th birthday. The event will include meet and greets, Q&A's with special guests, intimate guest performances, unlimited entry and a three-day pass to the museum, and more. The inaugural Wine in the Winter is Saturday, February 27! Sample wines from around the world at the Hilton Nashville Downtown as it’s transformed into a winter wonderland. Wine in the Winter is the sister event to Wine on the River, which is a sellout every year. Admission includes a souvenir glass, all beverage samples, hors d’oeuvres and a donation to The District. Volunteers are also needed to work from 4 pm to 8 pm, with check in at 3 pm. Free parking provided to volunteers.

A symposium and artist talk with photographer Jessica Ingram, who will discuss her work and moderate a distinguished panel of artists and historians. They will speak about this very important time in American history. The panel will include historian Charles McKinney as well as Carrie Gentry and her son former Vice Mayor Howard Gentry.
The Nashville Jazz Workshop, in collaboration with the Frist Center for the Visual Arts, presents the 10th season of the popular jazz performance and education series, Jazz on the Move. Each installment features a lecture and performance highlighting a major figure or period in jazz history. Presented by Nashville’s top jazz artist and educators, the series offers audiences world class music as well as an opportunity to learn more about jazz. This series will continue into April with an event each month. The Sunday, February 28 event will pay tribute to Nat "King" Cole presented by Kevin Whalum.

Grab your spoon for the 23rd annual Our Kids Soup Sunday. This grand tasting event features delicious soups from more than 50 local restaurants. Participating downtown restaurants and vendors include B&C Market BBQ, Barlines, The Bell Tower, The Bistro at Courtyard, The Bridge Building, Broadway Brewhouse & Mojo Grill, Commerce Street Grille, Corner Market, Fleet Street Pub, Kitchen Notes, Pub5, Sambuca, Trattoria Il Mulino and Watermark. Plus, children's activities, a silent auction and celebrity judges. The event will be held inside Nissan Stadium's Club Level West. Parking is free.

A Red Carpet Evening is the Belcourt's annual fundraiser on the night of the Academy Awards to provide essential operating support for the nonprofit cinema as it brings together Nashville-area film fans on Hollywood's biggest night. Now entering its 15th year, the event is regularly a sellout. For the first time, the event will be held off-site (due to construction) at another Nashville historic location, War Memorial Auditorium. Tickets include food and drink, a silent auction and more.
