Community Meeting: MTA/RTA nMotion Strategic Plan Update

During the final phase of community outreach for the yearlong nMotion strategic planning process, Nashville MTA/RTA is asking for input on three future scenarios for the region’s transit system at a series of community meetings. Each scenario presents different transit options for Davidson County and Middle Tennessee. Attendees will have the chance to review the scenarios and provide input on which strategies the region should consider to improve its transit system. Ascend Amphitheater Job Fair

Live Nation will host a job fair at Ascend Amphitheater on Saturday, March 19 and Sunday, March 20. Join 104.5 The Zone for one of Nashville’s premier family events, SportsFest! Enjoy an interactive family experience, where children and parents can play, explore and learn just about everything sports-related from experts, athletes and sports leaders. The daylong festival includes demos, inflatables for kids, a star-studded speaker series and more. The speaker series will include Titans Head Coach Mike Mularkey, Titans General Manager Jon Robinson, Tennessee Volunteers Defensive Coordinator Bob Shoop and more.

 

Music City Half Marathon & 10K

SUNDAY, MARCH 20, HALF MARATHON: 8 AM; 10K: 8:30 AM
LOCATION: EAST BANK GREENWAY $85 - $95 HALF MARATHON; $40 - $45 10K

The 10th annual Music City Half Marathon and 10K. This course takes participants along the banks of the winding Cumberland River that flows through and around downtown Nashville, with a few changes from the previous years. Please note: road closures associated with this event. Closures begin as early as 8 am and end as late as 11:30 am on Sunday, March 20 along the course. Jazz on the Move

SUNDAY, MARCH 20, 3 PM
LOCATION: FRIST CENTER FOR THE VISUAL ARTS FREE

The Nashville Jazz Workshop, in collaboration with the Frist Center for the Visual Arts, presents the 10th season of the popular jazz performance and education series, Jazz on the Move. Each installment features a lecture and performance highlighting a major figure or period in jazz history. Presented by Nashville’s top jazz artist and educators, the series offers audiences world class music as well as an opportunity to learn more about jazz. This series will continue into April with an event each month. The Sunday, March 20 event will pay tribute Charlie Christian featuring Andy Reiss.

He can be literate, uncouth and soulful all in one sentence."
