West Side Story

A historic collaboration of some of Broadway’s biggest names, "West Side Story" is an iconic musical theatre contemporization of Shakespeare’s "Romeo and Juliet" that quickly became a classic in its own right, repeatedly sweeping the Tony Awards over decades of revivals. In the same spirit as the 1957 original, Studio Tenn’s production features Jerome Robbins' revolutionary original choreography, cast members from Broadway and Nashville, and a full symphony orchestra performing the classic score.

A Nashville tradition! As part of Nashville Symphony's mission to bring music to everyone in Middle Tennessee, they will present free Community Concerts at parks across the mid-state region. Summer Cooking Class Series

 

SATURDAY, JUNE 4, 11 AM - 2 PM
LOCATION: CHAUHAN ALE & MASALA HOUSE $129/CLASS

Join Chauhan Ale & Masala House for its summer cooking class series! Get hands on with Maneet Chauhan as she walks you through a culinary journey of inspired dishes using the season's freshest ingredients. You will be paired in a small group to prepare one of five courses, including a mixology course with Chef Chauhan and her team. After the dishes are completed, everyone will sit down and enjoy the fruits of their labor along with beverage pairings.

 

First Saturday Art Crawl

Art galleries throughout downtown host receptions and art openings every month. Most galleries serve free wine and other refreshments. See this month's gallery map. Enjoy live music by Meet the Seavers and music and merriment by Puppets and Punchlines by the Nashville Public Library on the performance platforms along 5th Avenue North. City of Hope Celebrity Softball Game

A 25-year tradition in Nashville during the CMA Music Festival, City of Hope’s Celebrity Softball Game regularly features some of country music’s biggest and hottest stars. This year, Charles Esten, Jessie James Decker, Vince Gill, Scotty McCreery and many more will take to the field in support of City of Hope’s lifesaving mission.

Curator's Tour: Bellissima! The Italian Automotive Renaissance, 1945–1975
