Bluegrass Nights at the Ryman: Greensky Bluegrass

The inaugural Bluegrass Nights at the Ryman series took place in 1994 at the then newly renovated Ryman Auditorium. Over the last 20 plus years, the series has become a Nashville summertime tradition as it regularly presents the biggest names in bluegrass on the very stage where the genre was born back in 1945. The 23rd annual series continues on Thursday, July 7 with Greensky Bluegrass. Greensky Bluegrass is Anders Beck (dobro), Michael Arlen Bont (banjo), Dave Bruzza (guitar), Mike Devol (upright bass) and Paul Hoffman (mandolin).

 

Street Food Thursdays

Enjoy a gathering of up to 20 local food trucks parked along Deaderick Street between 4th Avenue North and 5th Avenue North every Thursday through October.

 

The Glo Run

FRIDAY, JULY 8, 9 PM

LeAnn Rimes with the Nashville Symphony

Phenomenal singer LeAnn Rimes is one of music's most successful entertainers, with 44 million albums sold, two Grammy Awards, three Academy of Country Music Awards and collaborations with everyone from Elton John to Reba McEntire. She joins the Nashville Symphony to perform some of her biggest hits, which include "Blue," "I Need You," "How Do I Live" and more.

 

A Better World Singing Day

String City: Nashville's Tradition of Music & Puppetry

SATURDAY, JULY 9, 10 AM - 11:15 AM & 11:30 AM - 12:45 PM
LOCATION: COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM FREE

​Marionettes, rod puppetry, shadow animation and an ever-changing set are used to tell country music history as it relates to Nashville’s transformation into Music City. Experience this exciting true story through more than 50 puppets, ranging from the Staple Singers to Johnny Cash to Taylor Swift. This performance expands the original 2013 production with new music and puppets. String City was created by Wishing Chair Productions, the resident puppet theater company at Nashville Public Library, in collaboration with the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Guns N' Roses

Guns N' Roses founder Axl Rose and former members Slash and Duff McKagan are regrouping for the Not In This Lifetime Tour. The news follows their previously announced headlining dates at this year's Coachella Music & Arts Festival. The Not In This Lifetime Tour will see the iconic band headline stadium dates throughout the U.S. and Canada. Plus, Chris Stapleton will open the show.

 

Summer Cooking Class Series

SATURDAY, JULY 9, 11 AM - 2 PM
LOCATION: CHAUHAN ALE & MASALA HOUSE $129/CLASS

Join Chauhan Ale & Masala House for its summer cooking class series! Get hands on with Maneet Chauhan as she walks you through a culinary journey of inspired dishes using the season's freshest ingredients. You will be paired in a small group to prepare one of five courses, including a mixology course with Chef Chauhan and her team. After the dishes are completed, everyone will sit down and enjoy the fruits of their labor along with beverage pairings.
