Described as an “alt-country lifer” by Rolling Stone, the critically acclaimed singer/songwriter and the Old 97’s have earned a devoted following for their endearing blend of pop sensibilities and muscular Texas bar-band twang. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. Frist Fridays take place rain or shine.

Courtyard Concerts: Stacy Mitchhart

TUESDAY, AUGUST 30, 11:45 AM - 1 PM

The library's hit music series continues. Bring a lunch to the library courtyard and enjoy free music by top acts in many genres every Tuesday through October 4. Stacy Mitchhart will perform on Tuesday, August 30. Mitchhart’s musical journey began in his native Cincinnati, listening to jazz guitar masters like Wes Montgomery and Johnny Smith on the stereo. Since his first album in 1993, "Blues Transfusion," he’s recorded a dozen more. He played his first gigs in Nashville 18 years ago, and knew he’d found his musical home. Thanks in large part to a following developed from his house band slot in the famed Bourbon Street Blues and Boogie Bar, he now performs internationally as well.
