Something Wicked

Nashville Ballet presents an experimental take on Shakespeare's "Macbeth" in collaboration with ALIAS Chamber Ensemble. Unearth the wickedness of human nature as Macbeth embarks on a power-hungry quest for the throne. No one is safe as he spins an intricate web of murder, greed and deceit—not even himself. But is he truly in command of his own fate? Or are three witches in the background really pulling the strings? First presented in workshop form during 2013’s "Emergence," "Something Wicked" comes this way just in time for Halloween.

Harvest Celebration at Nashville Farmers' Market

Relax and unwind at a special Halloween-themed Night Market on Friday, October 21! Enjoy a Halloween soul dance party, seasonal cocktails, wine, craft beer, local artisan booths, a pumpkin carving competition, plenty of dinner options from Market restaurants and more. Plus, food trucks and other vendors will be outside under the Farm Sheds. Night Market will kick off Nashville Farmers' Market's annual Harvest Celebration on Saturday, October 22. Enjoy fun kids' activities, fall recipe chef demonstrations, an all-ages pumpkin pastry baking contest, live music, and the largest selection of fall apples, pumpkins, mums and greens in Middle Tennessee. Costumes encouraged.

 

 

Hot Shots: Hot Chicken, Whiskey & Bourbon Festival

 

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 21, 5:30 PM - 9:30 PM
LOCATION: BRIDGESTONE ARENA $50 - $70

The Nashville Predators Foundation’s second annual Hot Shots Hot Chicken, Whiskey and Bourbon Festival! Hot Shots will bring together Middle Tennessee’s best hot chicken restaurants and bourbon and whiskey from both locally and nationally known distilleries for a fun afternoon in support of the Nashville Predators Foundation. In addition to enjoying unlimited bourbon and whiskey tastings, guests will enjoy a Hot Shots Viewing Party as the Nashville Predators take on the Red Wings in Detroit. Two different ticket packages available: Hot Shots Food & Drink (includes chicken and unlimited whiskey and bourbon tastings, $70) and Hot Shots Food Only (includes chicken only, $50). Both packages include a complimentary water on the day of the event and a voucher for an Upper Bowl ticket to either the November 8 vs. Ottawa or November 10 vs. St. Louis games.

 

 

Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Walk

 

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 21, PRE-WALK FESTIVITIES: 5:30 PM; WALK: 7:30 PM
LOCATION: NISSAN STADIUM FREE

Each year, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society holds its Light The Night Walk to pay tribute and bring hope to people battling cancer in communities throughout the United States and Canada. The thousands of participants carry illuminated lanterns and raise funds for patient services and research for better therapies and cures for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. This year, Nashville will hold its 14th annual Light The Night Walk, which is 1.3 miles and features local mascots, food, music, fireworks, team photos and children’s activities. Walk participants can go at a leisurely pace, easily completing the walk in less than an hour. Please note: road closures associated with this event. Roads along this course will be closed beginning at 7:30 pm and are rolling closures. All roads will re-open by 8:30 pm.

 

 

3rd Annual Light The Late Night Concert with Charles Esten & Friends

 

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 21, 10 PM
LOCATION: 3RD AND LINDSLEY $65

Following the Light the Night Walk at Nissan Stadium, join Charles Esten of "Nashville" and several of his musician friends for a special show at 3rd and Lindsley. All proceeds will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

 

 

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk

 

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 22, REGISTRATION 7:30 AM; WALK: 9 AM
LOCATION: NISSAN STADIUM FREE

Join the fight against breast cancer in this 4.5-mile, non-competitive fundraising walk benefiting the American Cancer Society. This walk honors and celebrates breast cancer survivors and supports the organization’s mission to save lives by finding cures and fighting back against the disease. Please note: road closures associated with this event. Roads along this course will be closed from as early as 6 am until as late as noon on Saturday, October 22. Roads impacted include Korean Veterans Boulevard, 2nd Avenue South, Broadway, Rosa Parks Boulevard, James Robertson Parkway, Church Street, 2nd Avenue North, Union Street, Woodland Street and surrounding Nissan Stadium streets.

 

Haunted Museum

 

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 22, 10 AM - 2 PM
LOCATION: TENNESSEE STATE MUSEUM FREE

Tennessee State Museum’s annual ghost story festival, Haunted Museum, will take place on Saturday, October 22 from 10 am - 2 pm. The event features a “ghost trail” through the museum with prizes, crafts and refreshments. At stops along the ghost trail there will be chilling ghost stories from Tennessee’s past, including those of the Bell Witch, the Cherokee spirit Spearfinger, John Murrell’s thumb and many other scary tales.

 

Hands on Creativity

 

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 22 - SUNDAY, OCTOBER 23, 11 AM - 4 PM
LOCATION: PLAZA ARTIST MATERIALS & PICTURE FRAMING FREE

The sixth annual Hands on Creativity is a two-day, family-friendly event allowing attendees to explore and learn all about art materials and how to use them. The event will feature more than 30 tables of free demonstrations as well as workshops, samples, door prizes and more.

 

Nashville Symphony's Free Day of Music

 

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 22, 11 AM - 9 PM
LOCATION: SCHERMERHORN SYMPHONY CENTER FREE

The entire community is invited to the Schermerhorn Symphony Center to enjoy free musical performances all day long and into the night. The 11th annual Free Day of Music will feature more than 20 musical acts throughout the day on four stages performing classical, country, rock, jazz, world music and much more. Plus, there will be a kids' zone from 1 pm - 4 pm featuring an instrument petting zoo, crafts and more.

 

Nashville Beer Festival

 

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 22, 3 PM - 8 PM
LOCATION: MUSICIANS HALL OF FAME & MUSEUM $20 - $55 GENERAL ADMISSION; $100 VIP

The sixth annual Nashville Beer Festival celebrates all things Music City! Tickets include unlimited tastings of more than 150 brews, wines and spirits, access to the Musicians Hall of Fame & Museum, a souvenir sample glass, a merchant underground with more than 25 unique boutiques and giveaways, and more. Use code "cupid" for $5 off the ticket price. Free Garth Brooks Concert

Garth Brooks will play a free concert at Ascend Amphitheater on Monday, October 24 as a part of a state-sponsored celebration to honor his career achievements, including seven diamond-certified albums. To find out how you can get free tickets, you must follow "Tennessee" on Snapchat.

 

Musicians Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Concert

 

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 26, 7 PM
LOCATION: NASHVILLE MUNICIPAL AUDITORIUM $60 - $90

The Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum will host a ceremony and concert for its 2016 Hall of Fame Inductees. The 2016 Inductees include Lou Bradley, Garth Brooks & The G-Men, Don Felder, Mark Miller, Jerry Reed, Allen Reynolds, Ron 'Snake' Reynolds, Sigma Sound Studio Rhythm Section, Ricky Skaggs and Joe Tarsia. Plus, Peter Frampton, Steve Wariner, Bruce Hornsby and more will perform. This show will be a chance to see some of the most incredible and iconic musicians play together on one stage for one night only. Video packages celebrate each inductee while special guests will be on hand to induct them into the Musicians Hall of Fame.

 

Acme Unplugged

During Bridgestone Arena events, park for free at Nissan Stadium Lot R. Optional round-trip shuttle service is $3 per person with a convenient drop-off point near the arena. Click here for details. (Tip: You don't have to attend an event at the arena to use this service. However, the free parking is only available on the event dates listed on the BEEP website).
