Christmas Celebration Services at Christ Church Cathedral

LOCATION: CHRIST CHURCH CATHEDRAL FREE

Christ Church Cathedral will offer Christmas Eve services featuring Holy Eucharist at 12:15 pm, 4 pm and 11 pm. Christmas Day service with Holy Eucharist will begin at 10 am.

 

Christmas Worship at Downtown Presbyterian Church

 

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 24 - SUNDAY, DECEMBER 25, CHRISTMAS EVE: 6 PM; CHRISTMAS DAY: 11 AM
LOCATION: DOWNTOWN PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH FREE

Downtown Presbyterian Church will offer a candlelight Christmas Eve service at 6 pm featuring communion and favorite hymns. The church will also offer a relaxed and joyful Christmas Day worship service with communion and hymns at 11 am.

 

Christmas Services at First Lutheran

 

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 24 - SUNDAY, DECEMBER 25, CHRISTMAS EVE: 4:30 PM & 8:30 PM; CHRISTMAS DAY: 10 AM
LOCATION: FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH ELCA FREE

First Lutheran Church ELCA will offer two services on Christmas Eve at 4:30 pm and 8:30 pm. Plus, the church will offer a 10 am worship service on Christmas Day. Free parking is available in the lot on the corner of 8th Avenue South and McGavock Street.

 

Christmas Masses at St. Mary's

 

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 24 - SUNDAY, DECEMBER 25, CHRISTMAS EVE: 5 PM & MIDNIGHT; CHRISTMAS DAY: 12:10 PM
LOCATION: ST. MARY'S CATHOLIC CHURCH FREE

St. Mary's will offer a 5 pm vigil mass and a midnight mass on Christmas Eve, and a 12:10 pm mass on Christmas Day.

 

Christmas Eve Meal & Services at McKendree

 

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 24, CHRISTMAS EVE: MEAL 11:30 AM, SERVICES 12:30 PM & 5 PM; CHRISTMAS DAY: SERVICE 10 AM
LOCATION: MCKENDREE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH FREE

On Christmas Eve, McKendree United Methodist Church will welcome, feed and gift 300 displaced and homeless guests. This event is made possible by the generous donations of food, gifts, money and volunteer hours. To donate or volunteer, email mckendreecindy@gmail.com. McKendree will also host two services on Christmas Eve: 12:30 pm in the chapel and 5 pm in the sanctuary. Plus, they'll offer a Christmas Day service at 10 am. Free parking is available in the McKendree Center on 6th Avenue North. The back entrance to the church is on the fourth level of the parking garage, just beside the garage elevator.

 

Christmas Eve Worship at First Baptist Nashville

 

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 24, 5 PM & 8 PM
LOCATION: FIRST BAPTIST NASHVILLE FREE

First Baptist Nashville will offer a Christmas Eve service in the sanctuary at 5 pm and a service at 8 pm in the chapel.

 

Christmas Eve Brunch at City Winery

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 24, 10 AM - 4 PM
LOCATION: CITY WINERY

City Winery will offer a Christmas Eve brunch from 10 am - 4 pm. Plus, enjoy live Christmas music while you dine between 11 am - 1 pm. To make a reservation, call 615-324-1010 or make it online here.

 

Christmas Eve Meal at Puckett's

 

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 24, 7 AM - 3 PM

Let Chef Maneet Chauhan take care of your Christmas Eve dinner this year. Chauhan Ale & Masala House will be open from 4 pm - 9 pm and will serve specials such as Christmas thali, lamb crown roast (must be pre-ordered), Christmas pudding, Chauhan eggnog and ginger sorghum cookies as a take-home gift. Catch a Ride Downtown via MTA Buses on New Year’s Eve

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 31, FREE RIDES FROM 9 PM - 2:30 AM

On Saturday, December 31, Nashville MTA bus service will be extended on 15 bus routes until 2:30 am on Sunday, January 1, and bus service will be free after 9 pm. Regular fares will be in effect until 9 pm, and MTA buses will pick up passengers at all MTA bus stops. Fare is $1.70 for adults and $1 for ages 5-19. Children age 4 and younger may ride for no charge. Visit the MTA website for route information and additional details.

 

Music City Star Train Tickets to Jack Daniel's Music City Midnight

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 31, 4 PM - 1:30 AM

Going to Jack Daniel's Music City Midnight at Bicentennial Mall? For the fourth straight year, the Regional Transportation Authority of Middle Tennessee will operate a special Music City Star excursion train to the city’s New Year’s Eve celebration on Saturday, December 31. An allotment of 650 tickets will be available to the general public. Round-trip tickets cost $15. Tickets will be on sale until 24 hours prior to departure or until they are sold out, whichever comes first. Children age 5 and older will need a ticket. Several road closures are planned throughout downtown for the Jack Daniel's Music City Midnight at Bicentennial Mall. This list is organized by the date the closures begin. The end date is different for each road and is indicated below. - 6th Avenue North (Harrison Street to Jefferson Street) will be closed from 7 am on Monday, December 19 until 5 pm on Friday, December 23
- Jackson Street (6th Avenue North to 7th Avenue North) will be closed from 7 am on Monday, December 19 until 5 pm on Friday, December 23
- Gravel Alley (Jefferson Street to Junior Gilliam Way) will be closed from 7 am on Monday, December 19 until 5 pm on Monday, January 2

Monday, December 26:
- 1st Avenue (Demonbreun to Church Street) will be closed from 6 am on Monday, December 26 until 10 am on Saturday, December 31
- Broadway (1st Avenue to 2nd Avenue) will be closed from 6 am on Monday, December 26 until 10 am on Saturday, December 31

Tuesday, December 27:
- Broadway (2nd Avenue to 5th Avenue) will be closed from 6 am on Tuesday, December 27 until 10 am on Saturday, December 31

Thursday, December 29:
- 2nd Avenue (Demonbreun to Commerce Street) will be closed from 10 am on Thursday, December 29 until 11 pm on Friday, December 30

NOTE: 3rd Avenue will be open to traffic throughout the event. 4th Avenue will be open to traffic and will run two-way throughout the event. 5th Avenue (Demonbreun to Broadway) may be closed due to Bridgestone Arena events. It will remain open north of Broadway to Commerce Street.

Saturday, December 30:
- The Woodland Street Bridge will be closed beginning as early as 11:30 am on Saturday, December 30 and will be available to only pedestrians and shuttle buses through the conclusion of the game
- The Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge will be open to eastbound and westbound traffic until the beginning of the fourth quarter of the game (at the beginning of the fourth quarter, the bridge will be open to westbound traffic only)
