ICC's Celebrate Soccer in Nashville Party

 

THURSDAY, JULY 13, NOON - 2 PM
LOCATION: JOHN SEIGENTHALER PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE FREE

The International Champions Cup (ICC) is hosting a free event for families to play soccer on the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge capturing the excitement building up to Saturday, July 29 when English Premier League teams Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City face off at Nissan Stadium. The Celebrate Soccer in Nashville Party will feature soccer games, Titans cheerleaders, mascots (including T-Rac), ticket giveaways and more as Music City ramps up to set a new record for soccer attendance in Nashville. The party comes hot on the heels of the successful Gold Cup match on July 8.

Curator's Tour: State of the Art

Nashville Ballet is celebrating 10 years of “Nashville’s Nutcracker” early with Christmas in July! To celebrate, the Nutcracker will make a special appearance at TPAC in downtown Nashville on Thursday, July 13. Music.Food.Beer Nashville will feature more than 30 live musical performances showcasing the South's indie music scene, three beer gardens, premium food trucks and more! General admission tickets include access to all festival activities, food trucks and beer gardens. VIP tickets include a shaded canopy for the lawn area, two free beers and a dedicated waiter for all drink orders (no waiting in lines).

Super Cool Fun Fest

The third annual Super Cool Fun Fest is a Nashville '90s-themed festival featuring live music by My So-Called Band, a dance party, a silent disco, food trucks, beer vendors and '90s-inspired games. General admission tickets are $25 (tickets do not include beer or food). VIP tickets are available and include all-you-care-to-drink beer, VIP bathrooms and separate beer lines. All proceeds will benefit Greenways for Nashville. 21+ event.

 

Jazz on the Cumberland

 

SUNDAY, JULY 16, 5:30 PM - 8 PM
LOCATION: CUMBERLAND PARK FREE

The sixth season of Jazz on the Cumberland continues on Sunday, July 16 with live music by Julius Fisher and friends! Food trucks and concessions open at 4 pm, and live jazz is from 5:30 pm - 8 pm. Plus, the event will also feature a kids' zone beginning at 5:30 pm. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome at this event. $5 parking is available at Nissan Stadium Lots R & T. This event takes place on the third Sunday of every month through October.

 

Red, White & Brew

The Tomorrow Fund invites you to its fifth annual Red, White & Brew! Admission to this mid-summer fest includes two drink tickets, a tour of the brewery, sliders, snacks, games, darts, live music and a great patio space to bask in the sun. Wine will also be available, and a few of Nashville's best restaurants will be serving up some samples to satisfy your cravings. Proceeds from the event support The Tomorrow Fund, which builds community awareness and responsibility in Middle Tennessee young professionals by establishing a pattern of community service and charitable giving.

 

Children's Music Arts Camp

Nashville First Baptist Church is hosting a children's summer camp, a fun-filled week of hands-on music and arts activities (such as guitar, drumming, mighty mallets, piano, handbells, recorder, percussion jam, drama, dance, puppets, visual arts, pottery and illusions), martial arts, recreation, Bible study and snacks. Preparing for the Total Solar Eclipse

WEDNESDAY, JULY 19, 11 AM - NOON
LOCATION: NASHVILLE PUBLIC LIBRARY, FREE

The total solar eclipse occurring on Monday, August 21 will be the first visible across the United States in nearly a century! The path runs from Oregon to South Carolina and Nashville is the largest city along the path. Astronomer Dr. William (Billy) Teets of Vanderbilt University’s Dyer Observatory will explain the basics of eclipse mechanics, how to safely observe a solar eclipse and other important information about this amazing astronomical event.

Beat Traffic with B-cycle

The best way to buzz through the city and beat traffic is via Nashville B-cycle! Look for the bright red bikes located at 36 B-stations around town. The $5 access pass includes an unlimited number of trips that are 60 minutes or less over a 24-hour period. The 7-day pass is only $10 and an annual membership is $50. TIP: keep all rides under 60 minutes to avoid overage fees. B-cycle has a responsive website and an app.
