Nashville Sounds vs. Las Vegas 51s

Head to First Tennessee Park to watch the Sounds as they take on the Las Vegas 51s through Friday, July 28! Can't make one of the games? There are plenty of other chances to catch the Sounds this week when they play the Salt Lake Bees Saturday, July 29 - Tuesday, August 1.

 

Rooftop on the Rocks

 

WEDNESDAY, JULY 26, 7 PM
LOCATION: L27 ROOFTOP BAR FREE

Occurring on the last Wednesday of each month, the new Rooftop on the Rocks series offers a unique and exciting entertainment experience in Nashville by inviting the hottest artists to perform at L27 Rooftop Bar on top of The Westin Nashville. Hosted on the highest stage in the city, atop the pool at L27, hotel guests and locals alike will have the chance to enjoy these intimate concerts all while taking in spectacular city views. July's event will feature Lewis Brice, Jacob Davis and Maggie Rose. This is a 21+ event.

 

Street Food Thursdays

 

THURSDAY, JULY 27, 11 AM - 2 PM

Enjoy a gathering of up to 20 local food trucks parked along Deaderick Street between 4th Avenue North and 5th Avenue North! This event takes place every Thursday. Please note: road closure associated with this event. Deaderick Street (4th Avenue North to 5th Avenue North) will be closed from 9 am - 2 pm on the day of the event.

 

Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse One-Year Anniversary Celebration

 

THURSDAY, JULY 27, 5 PM - 7 PM
LOCATION: JEFF RUBY'S STEAKHOUSE FREE

Here's to you, Nashville! Celebrate the one year anniversary of the restaurant named "Nashville's Best Steakhouse" by Nashville Lifestyles readers. Festivities will include live entertainment, complimentary passed appetizers, sushi and cake, and a surprise signature anniversary cocktail available for purchase. Regular menu items will also be available for purchase. This event is free and open to the public.

 

Frist Fridays: ELEL

 

FRIDAY, JULY 28, 6 PM - 9 PM
LOCATION: FRIST CENTER FOR THE VISUAL ARTS $12 GENERAL ADMISSION

Now in its 15th year, this exciting series takes place on the final Friday of June, July and August. Attendees are invited to enjoy an evening of live music, food specials and a cash bar as well as the diverse exhibits on view in the Frist Center’s galleries. Friday, July 28 will feature ELEL. Seductive hooks and layers of sparkly instrumentation have propelled ELEL, a seven-piece indie pop ensemble from Nashville, into the national spotlight. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. Frist Fridays take place rain or shine.

 

MAFIAoZA'S Music City Brewer's Festival

The 16th annual MAFIAoZA'S Music City Brewer's Festival is one of the biggest and best beer festivals in the country. The event is an opportunity to sample some of the most respected brews from more than 50 local, regional, national and imported breweries. Enjoy live music all day, food available for purchase and more. This festival has two sessions; buy tickets to one or both. New this year, MAFIAoZA’S Music City Brewer’s Fest will be the official pre-party and after-party for the International Champions Cup Soccer: Manchester City vs. Tottenham Hotspur game at Nissan Stadium. Supporters can enjoy the MAFIAoZA’S Music City Brewer’s Fest before and after the game at a discounted rate with the promo code ICC.

 

International Champions Cup Soccer: Manchester City vs. Tottenham Hotspur

Two of the best soccer clubs in the world, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur, will play in Music City for the International Champions Cup presented by Heineken. Both teams are in the top of the renowned English Premier League. The two powerhouse clubs feature some of the top international talent from around the world. Manchester City features Argentinian superstar Sergio Aguero and Belgian national Kevin De Bruyne while English stars Harry Kane and Dele Alli lead the attack for Tottenham Hotspur.

 

3rd Annual Waterfest

 

SUNDAY, JULY 30, 1 PM - 4 PM
LOCATION: CUMBERLAND PARK FREE

Waterfest is a free, one-day family festival all about celebrating and connecting children to our local waters. The event will feature waterslides, dancing, trivia, free popcorn, raffles and great educational exhibits. There will be a special visit from the Urban Green Lab where you can learn about sustainability in your everyday life. Plus, the folks from Walk Bike Nashville will be teaching you and your family how to safely enjoy Nashville's biking and walking paths.

 

Acme Unplugged

 

MONDAY, JULY 31, 7 PM - 9 PM
LOCATION: ACME FEED & SEED $10

Join Acme Feed & Seed on Monday, July 31 for another round of Acme Unplugged. Every month, gather in The Hatchery to celebrate the real people behind some of music's biggest hits—the songwriters themselves. This performance will feature Jimmy Hall and Donnie Fritts with Mark Narmore, Mitch Mann, Jimmy Nutt and Andreas Werner (AKA The Alabama Bus Boys). These guys have worked with Hank Williams Jr., The Alabama Shakes and Kris Kristofferson, just to name a few. Don't miss your chance to see these undercover stars on stage.
