The Porch Wine Series: How Do You Blind Taste Wine?

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 9, 6 PM - 7 PM
LOCATION: CITY WINERY $15

Join City Winery for a fun, casual and informative series of tastings and gatherings throughout the summer! Relax on the patio with one of its sommeliers as you’re guided through wines you can continue enjoying past the summer. This session is entitled "How Do You Blind Taste Wine?" Perhaps the most difficult part of the testing process to become a sommelier is the blind identification of wines. From start to finish, a candidate has nothing but their experience to tell them exactly where the wine is from, the grape from which it was made and the year in which the grapes were grown. Well, that’s not necessarily true—there’s also a system to help a candidate reach a conclusion. In this tasting, you'll learn how the seemingly impossible becomes possible.

You can still purchase tickets to the program only for $30 (no lunch with seating in the tiered portion of the Schermerhorn Symphony Center).
