New restaurant and bar: Von Elrod's Beer Garden & Sausage House!
1004 4th Avenue North. 615-866-1620. This new restaurant located across the street from First Tennessee Park offers a wide array of menu options including sausages, hot dogs, poutine, Belgian fries, salads, rotisserie chicken, 36 beers on tap and more. They also have Sunday brunch featuring a live brass band from 10 am - 3 pm. Hours of operation are Monday - Thursday, 11 am - 11 pm; Friday - Saturday, 11 am - 1 am; and Sunday, 10 am - 9 pm. 
 

New coffee shop: The Well Coffeehouse!
147B 4th Avenue North. This new coffee shop offers a variety of beverages including hand-poured coffee, espresso, tea and seasonal beverages as well as breakfast and lunch. Hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 7 am - 7 pm and Saturday, 8 am - 7 pm.
 

New restaurant: Black Rabbit!
218 3rd Avenue N. 615-891-2380. This new restaurant offers small plates, canapes and creative cocktails. American jazz and live piano music enhance the vibe and ambience, a nod to the nightlife of Printers Alley during its heyday. Menu items include embered vegetables, roasted meats and oysters, and breads baked over live fire. Hours of operation are Monday - Thursday, 3 pm - midnight and Friday - Saturday, 3 pm - 1 am.

M Street’s Chef Week & Edible Art Show

THROUGH SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 12
LOCATION: M STREET $55 EDIBLE ART SHOW

During M Street’s Fall 2017 Chef Week, continuing through Sunday, November 12, new menus will be unveiled featuring fall innovations alongside regular menus within all six M Street restaurant concepts. Downtown M Street spots include Kayne Prime, Moto, Saint Anejo, Virago and Whiskey Kitchen. Chef Week will culminate in a one-day-only celebration, the Edible Art Show, on Sunday, November 12 from 1 pm - 5 pm at The Rosewall. Guests can indulge in an avant-garde gallery setting while tasting their way through newly unveiled culinary pastry and mixology innovations from all of the M Street restaurant concepts. Tickets ($55) include gallery admission and unlimited tastings and cocktails from each exhibit. Guests who dine from any two Chef Week menus through November 12 will receive VIP exclusive access to the Edible Art Show.

Sip TN Wine Festival

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 11 AM - 6 PM
LOCATION: NASHVILLE FARMERS' MARKET $49 BEFORE NOVEMBER 10; $59 AFTER NOVEMBER 10

Join more than 25 wine producers from across the state as they showcase the best wine Tennessee has to offer. Sip TN is the first wine festival in Nashville made up entirely of Tennessee wineries. This event will feature live music, food artisans, local craftspeople, food trucks and fantastic local wine. Tickets include admission into the general festival area, a souvenir wine glass, access to wine tastings from all wineries present and the ability to buy bottles directly from the wineries to enjoy there or take home.

 

Free Frist Admission for Veterans & Military Community on Veterans Day

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 10 AM - 5:30 PM
LOCATION: FRIST CENTER FOR THE VISUAL ARTS FREE

Free Frist Center admission will be extended to veterans (active-duty, retired, Reserve and National Guard service members) and their families on Saturday, November 11. Visitors need only identify themselves to any member of the Visitor Services staff as veterans or service members for free admission. Visitors will also have the opportunity to watch the Veterans Day Parade from the Frist Center’s Broadway terrace.

 

Nashville Half Marathon, Marathon & 5K

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 7 AM
LOCATION: FIRST TENNESSEE PARK 5K: $45; HALF MARATHON: $95; MARATHON: $105

Whether an out-of-towner or a lifelong local, runners will love this route that goes through some of Nashville's most beautiful and historic scenery in The Gulch, downtown, East Nashville and other neighborhoods. A half and full marathon course option available, as well as a 5K route. Veterans Day Parade

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 11 AM

This annual event is one of the South's largest Veterans Day parades. The family-friendly celebration honors Nashville's military community and includes floats, antique cars, local military groups and supporters, local businesses and charities, and nearby high school marching bands. The 101st Airborne (Air Assault) Division Band, Honor Guard and Troop element will lead the parade down Broadway from 14th Avenue to 3rd Avenue. Please note: road closures associated with this event. Broadway (14th Avenue to 3rd Avenue) will be closed from as early as 10:30 am until as late as 2 pm on Saturday, November 11.

 

Red, White & Blue with the Nashville Symphony

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 11 AM
LOCATION: SCHERMERHORN SYMPHONY CENTER $13 - $30

Celebrate Veterans Day with a fun-filled mix of songs, classics and a sing-along honoring our military and our country, from sea to shining sea. The Nashville Public Library will provide a special audio-visual presentation with recordings and photos of veterans from the Middle Tennessee community. Starting at 10 am, show up early for fun, family-friendly pre-concert activities, including the Symphony's instrument petting zoo, crafts, a book nook and much more. 

 

Free Family Festival Day

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 12, 1 PM - 5:30 PM
LOCATION: FRIST CENTER FOR THE VISUAL ARTS FREE

Bring your family and friends to the Frist Center for a day filled with creativity, community and exploration! This Family Festival Day will celebrate the imaginative and dynamic exhibit "Nick Cave: Feat." in the Frist's Upper-Level Galleries. Titans Brunch

Nashville City Club is open to the public during the Titans fall season! Join them for brunch on Sunday, November 12 before they take on the Cincinnati Bengals at Nissan Stadium. Dan Rather: What Unites Us

Union Station Hotel Celebrates New Dog-Friendly Policy with Yappy Hour

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM
LOCATION: UNION STATION HOTEL FREE

To kick off its new dog-friendly policy, Rails and Tails, Union Station Hotel is inviting you and your pooch to the historic downtown hotel for yappy hour on Wednesday, November 15 from 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm. Attendees can purchase doggy-inspired cocktails and “ruffle” tickets for special giveaways, like a one night stay at Union Station Hotel for one lucky winner and their dog. All proceeds from cocktail and ruffle ticket purchases will benefit the Nashville Humane Association, and the local organization will be on-site collecting donated pet food and supplies, such as towels, blankets, trash bags, plastic toys, collars and leashes.

Downtown Residential Report

Check out our 2017 Residential Report and the results from the 2017 downtown residential survey. Lots of helpful statistics about the downtown residential market. Here's a few: 53% of the people who live downtown work outside of downtown and by the end of 2017 over 11,000 residents will be living in over 7,300 housing units. However, we still have less housing stock than our peer cities. The rental occupancy rate in downtown Nashville is currently 95%.

Cheap Parking Options

Park for only $5 weeknights after 6 pm and all day Saturday or Sunday at the Metro Courthouse Garage. Or, pay only $8 after 5 pm on weeknights or all day Saturday or Sunday at the Library Garage.
