Broadway is turning into a two-day block party at the Fan Zone on Broadway to celebrate the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl! Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl

Now in its 20th year, the Bowl matches teams from the Southeastern Conference and the Atlantic Coast Conference or Big Ten Conference in this annual Music City holiday tradition. The United States Olympic Committee is bringing the spirit of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games to Team USA fans with Team USA WinterFest. Meet Olympic athletes, enjoy live music, take part in fun activities like bobsledding and curling, and have an Olympic experience at this free and exciting event in Music City. Plus, there will be performances from Lewis Brice, Maggie Rose and Canaan Smith. In addition, Team USA athletes will sign autographs at 7 pm at the corner of 6th Avenue North and Harrison Street at Bicentennial Mall during Music City Midnight activities on Sunday, December 31.

Start your New Year's Eve off by cheering on the Tennessee Titans as they take on the Jacksonville Jaguars at Nissan Stadium on Sunday, December 31 at noon! Please note: road closures associated with this event. The Woodland Street Bridge will close beginning at 9 am and will be available to only pedestrians and shuttle buses through the conclusion of the game. Plus, the Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge will be open to eastbound and westbound traffic until the beginning of the fourth quarter. At the beginning of the fourth quarter, westbound traffic on the Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge will be open for game traffic only. All other westbound traffic will be diverted at South 4th Street and I-24.

Downtown Transportation Options for New Year's Eve


Catch a Ride Downtown via MTA Buses on New Year’s Eve

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 31, EXTENDED BUS SERVICE: 9:15 PM - 2:30 AM

On Sunday, December 31, Nashville MTA bus service will be extended on 15 bus routes until 2:30 am on Monday, January 1. Regular fares will be in effect. Passengers may purchase tickets at Music City Central in advance or on the bus with cash and/or change. Passengers may purchase an all-day pass for $3.25 for adults that will serve as a round-trip ticket. Another option to ring in 2018 is to park your car and ride an MTA bus into downtown from an area Park & Ride. Visit the MTA website for more information.

 

Music City Star Train Tickets to Jack Daniel's Music City Midnight

 

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 31, 6 PM - 1:30 AM

Going to Music City Midnight at Bicentennial Mall? For the fifth straight year, the Regional Transportation Authority of Middle Tennessee will operate a special Music City Star excursion train to the city’s New Year’s Eve celebration on Sunday, December 31. An allotment of 400 tickets is now available to the general public. Round-trip tickets cost $15. Tickets will be on sale until 24 hours prior to departure or until they are sold out, whichever comes first. - 7th Avenue North (Jefferson Street to Harrison Street) closed from 10:30 pm on Sunday, December 17 until as late as 6 pm on Tuesday, January 2
- 6th Avenue North (Harrison Street to Jefferson Street) closed from 10:30 pm on Sunday, December 17 until as late as 6 pm on Friday, January 5

- 1st Avenue (Demonbreun to Church Street) closed from 3 am on Tuesday, December 26 until 11:30 am on Saturday, December 30
- Broadway (1st Avenue to 2nd Avenue) closed from 3 am on Tuesday, December 26 until 11:30 am on Saturday, December 30

Wednesday, December 27:
- Broadway (2nd Avenue to 3rd Avenue) closed from 6 am on Wednesday, December 27 until 11:30 am on Saturday, December 30

Thursday, December 28:
- 2nd Avenue (Demonbreun to Commerce Street) closed from 6 am on Thursday, December 28 until 11:59 pm on Friday, December 29

Friday, December 29:
- Woodland Street Bridge closed beginning as early as 12:30 pm on Friday, December 29 and available to only pedestrians and shuttle buses through the conclusion of the game
- Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge open to eastbound and westbound traffic until the beginning of the fourth quarter. At the beginning of the fourth quarter, westbound traffic on the Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge open for game traffic only. All other westbound traffic diverted at South 4th Street and I-24.
