New Grocery Store: The Turnip Truck Urban Fare!
311 12th Avenue South. 615-248-2000. This locally-owned grocer focuses on organic foods, and opens this Saturday (October 30, 9 am - 5 pm). Grand opening events include a Turnip Toss game with prizes, healthy fall treat bags for kids, plus samples and coupon giveaways from farmers and vendors. The first 200 shoppers spending $40 will receive a free Turnip Truck grocery tote. Regular hours will be Mon - Sat, 7 am - 9 pm and Sun, 8 am - 9 pm.

LOCATION: DOWNTOWN YMCA FREE
Bring your dog and enjoy this pet-friendly fall festival! There will be over twenty vendor booths with fun events and community sponsors. Showcase your best pet costume and win contest prizes. There will be treats for people and for pets, great deals on YMCA apparel, canine demonstrations, and more. All proceeds will go to the YMCA We Build People Outreach Campaign.
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 28, 7 PM
LOCATION: BRIDGESTONE ARENA
Bridgestone Arena will be in the Halloween spirit complete with special music, themed videos, and a special Halloween performance by the Ladies of Smashville. Gnash and the Ladies of Smashville will also be decked out in their best costumes, so don’t forget to wear yours. Additionally, the Nashville Predators will continue their support of Hockey Fights Cancer by welcoming Susan G. Komen for the Cure to the arena.

"Rise and Shine with Urban Sun" is a program that spotlights a local non-profit each month. Stop by to learn more about Make-A-Wish and how to join Urban Sun's Sunshine Crew to help grant a wish for a very special young man. Last chance to buy October specials just in time for Halloween, including 30 days of UV tanning for $30, and three VersaBronze spray tans for $30. There will be refreshments. Parking validation is available.

Nashville Ballet presents the world's best-known classical ballet, Swan Lake. Featuring a full cast of extraordinary dancers, beautiful sets and choreography, the ballet is accompanied by The Nashville Symphony, performing Tchaikovsky's score. Follow this tale of love found, lost, and recaptured in one of the most magnificent ballets ever performed.
Steven Kimbrough's baritone voice and his engaging acting skills have earned him positive review from critics worldwide. He is the author/editor of numerous books and articles on musical, biblical, theological and historical subjects including a number of volumes dedicated to the work of Charles Wesley. Kimbrough performs Wesley's poetry in his musical performance, Sweet Singer.

The ultimate generation-jumping time warp of rock and roll raucousness featuring bands covering songs from the 80's, 90's and this decade. Yacht Rock Revue and Glamhammer will perform at Mercy Lounge. Guilty Pleasures and My So Called Band will perform in the Cannery Ballroom. One ticket grants admission to both venues. Dress to impress and come ready to rock and be rocked.
The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce initiative, One Nashville, is a community campaign to support public education awareness. Come and learn more about One Nashville, and enjoy a free cupcake from The Cupcake Collection.

Come in your best costume and join JACK FM at The Berger for an indoor/outdoor Halloween Bash. Costume contest with cash prizes ($300 1st, $200 2nd, and $100 3rd). Prizes awarded at 10 pm. Half-price drinks from 8 pm to 10 pm. DJ Mindub will be spinning hit music. Dance the night away in a heated tent with chandeliers and a full cash bar. All attendees will have access to the Berger Bar. VIP ticketholders will enjoy private cabanas, private restrooms, a VIP bar, couches and chairs.

Join the fight against breast cancer by participating in the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer five-mile walk. Registration is free and begins at 8 am. The walk through downtown Nashville begins at 9 am. 20,000 walkers are expected to participate in this event. This walk honors and celebrates breast cancer survivors and supports the Society’s mission to save lives by finding cures and by fighting back against the disease. PLEASE NOTE: road closures associated with this event. Select downtown roads will be closed from 9 am - 11 am on Saturday.
